i don't like the term either in fact I was at a mainstream seminar and some guy was asking who things podcasting is a fad and I raised my hand and he went on ranting and raving about how awesome it was (and basically saying how stupid I was).

It's really not the same as streaming really since you can take shows portable. . . I think it seems like a way for the radio and tv broacasters to try to stay in business since mp3 , sat radio, and tivo are killing their ad dollars, they're looking to anything.
