i have been using b2evolution for a while, you can't beat the features it has...the multiple blogs feature is my favorite for sure

Blogger or make your own custom one, I wrote mine with 1 database call per page, compared to Wordpress which averages 16+ database calls per page. A custom blog script is the way to go seriously.
