God I love the "business minded" people on GFY
This thread shows what real amateurs there are in this industry compared to other industries..including some of the biggest names. Nothing, and I repeat nothing anyone seems to throw together works right. They all get a hair up their ass a few days before a show and expect it to fall together just the way they want it. Apparently TrafficGigolos *yes what a professional sounding name for a company* is another one of those. You order cards within days of a show....jeez you should have gone to a nearby print shop and paid for a rush job..one that you could have come back to within a few hours to okay the copy and get started..and POSSIBLY *a word I stress* have them done within the time frame you needed them done. But no...you like most other sponsors, programs etc SUCK AT THIS. ![]() |

i really do swear, and I may be wrong, but I am pretty damn sure, that almost every single event that happens in atlanta is using acidflyers.com for their printing
if it is like that in any other cities, i seriously doubt this thread will have much impact.... acidflyers.com rocks a big booty shaking dance of joy, and not just in the porn industry either! |

I've worked for Brett for the last 6 months, although most of my time has been spent under his desk. While trafficgigalo's argument may not have been well articulated, I think their beef is not the fact that their order didn't arrive on time, but that they were told by customer service at acid that they were being printed, delivered and carried personally too them. That didn't happen, and it took days into the show to get that straightened out. Late/Emergency/Rush order or not, that's pretty lame.

A full apology and refund was made on the 8th by highonacid.
This kid just lives to bitch. Karma is right! May he never get an order on time again and may all his pizza show up cold. Highonacids full and humble apology. http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showth...38#post7981038

Now let's turn our attention to the drama at hand. TrafficGigolos fucked this up..pure plain and simple...follow the threads and you'll see. I'm so sick and tired of the lame ass wanna be business people in this industry who couldn't organize taking a shit because they would order the toilet paper when it came time to flush. This is not an anomaly, this is the standard operating procedure for this industry....I spent years on the other end taking those orders and everything was a rush order.why? Because hardly anyone here has a clue how to actually run a business. |

I agree with you. Just wondering why <insert any company's name> and think an apology on a bb and a refund is okay. It seems that Acid tried and couldn't deliver. With all the volume printing that his shop does, I would think he would just send a nice email or call the customer saying the deadline is to tight for our shop... JMO |

Wow, talk about the ultimate backfire!
Thanks to everyone for all the compliments and thanks to TrafficGigilos for the free marketing! I even posted a public apology and did everything I could to make sure they got at least something to hand out. Still they want to come to GFY and start shit. I don't understand people some times.

we knew it was a rush job AND so did he, knowing that he could not get it done in time, why did he take the job? and then why did he lie about its status instead of telling us the truth and letting us move the order to a more reliable and expediant vendor? furthermore, 3-5 days was within the window. i have worked in the print industry, lots of print shops work 7 days a week, an order on the 29th, had 6 days to be completed. |

we knew it was coming, some things in life arent planned out months in advance. we were also ironging out all the details and everything. lots of print shops can print with ZERO notice. this has nothing to do with procrastination, it has to do with being lied to and fucked around instead of being told the truth so we could use an alternate vendor. read the whole fucking thread. |

And calling out Eros now?!?!? Give me a fucking break! His reputation in this biz is flawless and he has something that you will never have; a stand up business model, a personality, a perfect reputation, and last but not least...a clue as to what he's doing!

You're right. I pulled eroswebmaster.com down because I do not advertise it anymore. #1 I now work for Evil Genius Cash #2 I didn't feel like dealing with 2257 bullshit so I pulled it down AND #3 It was not a representation of ONLY my work. I had a team of designers and project managers in all over 20 people, and in some cases they far exceeded my talents in others they were okay. Once I shut everything down, I did not feel comfortable with still having other people's work in the portfolio, and instead of ripping it all down I just moved it. I don't recall ever doing business with this Why guy, but in most if not all cases if there were issues I always fixed them, tried to work something out with someone. At this point however I don't care...LOL. That's not a part of me anymore, I do not do designs for anyone else other than a few former clients who threw a lot of business my way. But nice try at deflection you little shit stain..and of course I'm talking to Why now. |

I have read both threads, and I have dealt with AcidFlyers before. Every convention there is always a little bit of drama surrounding the printing and I guess this year it's your turn. But 99.9% of the time it usually involves a clueless fuck like yourself waiting until the last minute to put in the order. Throwing a party? Then by god by all means get the details planned out well before a few days before the event. |

Eros,
If this was so obviously bound to fail, then why did the printer accept the job to begin with, and still receive nothing but praise from you? Shouldn't the printer be the judge of turn-around time, being in the printing business, familiar with the printing process? Please try to use logic even if you are entering a debate purely out of bias for one side. I'm embarrassed for all parties concerned. |

I used them once, paid extra to have them design it and gave them an idea of what I was looking for. I got the proof in the email on a very timesly basis, and I was a little dissapointed. Suggested a few changes and the next day I had exactly what I was looking for. Couple days later (much earlier than I expceted) I had my cards and was very pleased.I found them great to work with and I'll definitely use them again.
Only thing I can say is, don't wait till the last fucking minute next time!! |
