Here's a little history for youOriginally posted by tony404whats a hanco?
http://www.lukeisback.com/archives/a...tes/000113.htm
Pornoman writes on condomproject.com: "This convention was easily the best one yet as far as accomadations.. rooms were killer, convention area was amazing, parties etc were great.. finally a place that could handle the show.. every convention should be held at the venetian.. I think CE's booth was the size of the last convention center alone."
Porners talked about the large Hanco booth owned by Price Hanson. According to rumors going around the convention, Price is a Southern farm boy whose dad won $27 million in a lottery and gave him five million. Price threw a well attended David Lee Roth concert Tuesday night.
Hanco has 20 employees, and a wide array of content with the best technical quality video streams I've seen. Hanco has the exclusive license for the content of Rob Black's Extreme Associates.
Hanco's root site is primextc.com which offers a wide array of well-laid out high quality original content. Also, hancoent.com.
Robert Wood shows me the site and says: "Luke, if you come to this interface, you can type in a key word and get video clips related to the topic."
Nine out of ten net porners at the convention, I estimate, had not heard of Hanco until this IA2000. Price and his associates attended the last IA2000 six months ago as research. A few weeks before, Price decided that the porn internet was the place he'd make his mark.
Net porners, like all people, are skeptical of newcomers and Hanco has more than its share of detractors who predict that it will take five years for him to make back the money he spent on this year's show, estimated by various sources at around $500,000, the most of any net porner this convention.
I hang out with Price and his Hanco and Extreme people beside the AVN booth.
Then like 4 months later

Hanco Exec Departs
Lev writes: Hanco execs are dropping like flies. Director of Marketing, Dana Frank, is the latest to jump ship. Her reasons: mismanagement, lake of company focus, and general inter-office malaise. Along the same vain, James Gulf, Hanco's Content Manager, also resigned today April 17, 2000.
Email: Thousand Oaks, CA- Friday, April 14, 2000. Dylan Wroblewski announced his formal resignation from Hanco Entertainment/ PrimeXTC. Mr. Wroblewski left his position as Director of Web Operations and Product Development citing only irreconcilable differences regarding "...company direction, and management techniques".
When reach for comment, Mr. Wroblewski gave the following statement: "To all of my colleagues, business associates and friends, I will miss you all. But only temporarily! I will be working with all of you again very soon. I feel I have done all that I can at PrimeXTC and it is simply time to move on. I have no negative feelings towards any staff member at PrimeXTC, and I wish them the very best of luck with every future endeavor. On a personal note, my very special thanks to Hanco Vice President, Jim Henley for allowing me this opportunity, for bringing me to California, and more importantly, for his guidance and friendship."
Dylan Wroblewski served as Director of Web Operations and Product Development for Hanco Entertainment beginning in November of 1999. While with Hanco, Mr. Wroblewski was responsible for website developmet of xpleasures.com, primextc.com, cleavagecity.com, pinksushi.com as well as two content disks for webmasters, Xpleasures Vol.1 and Oral Fever Vol. 1.
In addition to content and website production, Mr. Wroblewski also developed and ran the webmaster sales division of PrimeXTC, and assisted in the creation of the PrimeXTC booth as well as helping to host the Xbash featuring David Lee Roth at IA2000 in January. Prior to Hanco/ PrimeXTC, Dylan held the title of Vice President of Operations for another content provider, Zmaster Inc.
Luke: Another Hanco exec apparently is calling it quits. Eric Moir sent out this email to webmasters: "Erick Moir a.k.a. Moi Moi has resigned as the COO of Hanco Entertainment. I cannot guarantee that all payments will be paid, but I sure hope for everyone's sake that the webmasters' checks are cut on time for everyone. We will all do business together in the near future!"

they're probably FEDS.Originally posted by verleurHello ---- PINK TV HERE -----
I think you all have been heavily misinformed. Pink TV is alive and well and healthy as ever. We hope you all enjoyed the summer Internext Party. We threw the Party to introduce ourselves. Many of you don't know what we do and we know that. When the time is right you will know us, I can assure you. All of our 30 staff both in Miami and Prague are working very hard in preparation of our public launch. You must all keep in mind that we do not have an affiliate program, nor do we want one. As this is the case it is understandable that many of you don't understand why we spent so much on an affiliate driven show. Nevertheless, just thought I'd throw our 2 cents out there. See you at the January Internext-- We are the corporate sponsor!
Kind Regards,
Jan Verleur

You dropped 400k on webmasters when you don't want affiliates?Originally posted by verleurUser: Invasion - What would you know about Pink TV?
You work with Azure, so I assume your information comes from a model that we have both shot. As Azure only shoots models that never made the cut with us, I doubt you were fed accurate info. The girl was probably pissed off becuase Pink TV didn't want her. The truth is we have over 15k worth of liquer left and we're saving it for the next Party you won't be invited too.

No we do not consider form submissions to the form at pinktv.com to be free trial users! I do consider them to be valid prospects, but nothing more than that. Since we uploaded that form back in July we have had less than 3000 submissions. I assume many of those submissions are industry people, as we have not yet commenced consumer advertising and have only advertised within the adult industry to-date.
The enormous trial subscriber base I referenced before is the current number of paying members to adult websites with whom we have partnered. By nature of there existing subscription to our partner sites, users will be given access to pink tv for a specific period of time for free. We will begin opening portals sometime in the next 60 days. Immediatley after we make the consumer site live at pinktv.com. We are currently partnered with 7 Major adult site operators in both Europe and The USA. We anticipate adding atleast 3 more major partners during the 1st quarter of 2006.Last edited by verleur; 12-18-2005, 08:11 PM.Comment

Thankfully, we received a full refund from the Aviation company. They were supposed to have a different banner that read "It's Not Porn, It's Pink TV," but instead they ran the party banner twice. Nevertheless, I wasn't overly concerned. Pink TV had over 25 staff, 18 models, and endless issues to deal with at that event. Not to mention the crew neccesary to transform our backlot and studio B into a night club, we were quite frankly swamped. I'm just glad as little went wrong as did. All in all, Summer Internext worked out well for us.Originally posted by GigaBugbeeI saw this as well, had a good chuckle I do not know of PinkTV what they do or how they plan on doing so but I wish them good luck..

PinkTV is spending a lot of money, but they are putting solid investments in content and great production. They have a unique, fun vision for adult content. Yeah, the drinks at the party were expensive but overall it was hella tight.SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60. Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more that 3 lines of DEFAULT SIZE AND COLOR text.Comment

It is amazing to me that nearly seven years later the Hanco legend still grows...
For those that were close to the situation it was clear why the ship went down
One thing that is interesting is that had the bugs been worked out, had the right person been brought in to run the infrastructure, Hanco landed a jaw dropping number of accounts at the famed show.
The team had some impressive players on it, the business model was sound, and the products at the time were cutting edge and forward thinking.
Never underestimate the power of ego...
for the record
booth 150k
concert 100k
new limo 72k
what would have saved the company
priceless
This will be my last post.... see you all on the other side
The irony is the last post is regarding Hanco

Nothing like making a thread about how someone fucked up and fucked off and had no business sense and then having them come in and defend themselves...
Kinda takes all of the fun out of it.
