To all you guys giving aff programs a hard time.
Do you even have a clue to the variables that go into conversion ratios? Time of year, merchant/3rd party scrubbing to meet cb%'s, popular trends pumped into peoples t.v.'s & radios which could change their porn viewing from black on white to Reality Fuck Island, because they just saw the movie "the island" or the new survivor series is on.
I know guys who were doing like 1:20 with them when other people are 0:9000. Same thing with other programs, i get 200 icq's a day from people "pr0 is such & such program converting like shit for you today?" Meanwhile i'm cranking sales. And thats fine, i'm more than happy to inform them of how im performing with (x) program. I just don't see the point in trying to form a consensus on a board about how a programs converting. Things like this should be done via an icq network etc. I mean what do you expect to gain from saying "fuck my ratios suck at such & such", pissing off the program owner? Otherwise you're pretty much slandering a program. And heres why.... You get 3 or 4 people who say their doing 0:10,000, & potential webmasters go "fuck, these dudes are shaving", meanwhile the other half of the 30,000 webmasters a program has misses the thread & can't put in their 2 cents. So if you're converting like shit, switch up sites, switch programs, & quit slandering companies. It's just not business like.....

I hear you pr0, but unfortunately to many others, you're talking to the wall.

Actually, what would be wise is to ask the program or other affiliates on how to better improve their ratios... rather than scream 'shavers!'
Chances are that a program that's been around for a while has been around because they have affiliates who do well with them. It only stands to reason that there's at least someone who's getting better ratios. |

I mean its a fucking pretty day on the east coast, 85 & blue skies, so i switch my traffic to states that are getting poured on right now in the ohio valley region.
And tomorrow when its raining on the east coast, i'll switch back to the east coast. No fucking bbq's in the rain.... = more people jerking off |

But if the affiliates happy with his current setup, heres how the conversation will go...... Affiliate: Is there a problem with the system today? Sponsor: No Affiliate: You sure? Sponsor: Yes Affiliate: Well my conversions are a little low today Sponsor: Must be the traffic Affiliate: Ok i'm going to starbucks, thanks, see ya. i think forming a consensus from a group of peers is just fine, so long as its done in the privacy of an e-mail or icq.....& since they can ask the sponsor if theres a problem......then going to the board is just an excuse to accuse a program of shaving in a round about way IMO |
