And what the heck is "veteran status" supposed to signify? I don't recall too many innovations of the past 4 years having come from industry veterans and specific to this board, who do you think pushed it in the direction it has taken? I think what they're referring to is that the people who registered early have contributed to this board from the beginning.

You may have been in this biz for a long time but they're referring to the people who read and posted on this board and helped it grow from "another new webmaster board" to "THE webmaster board" that has more traffic than all the other boards combined now.

Sure it's silly and doesn't really mean anything but it's still some sort of recognition for the people that have made this board what it is. Almost all big message boards have some sort of "elite member" thingamadoo, why not GFY?
