Traffic Generating Techniques
I would like to build a network of small sites based on a particular niche and funnel this traffic to certain bigger sites. Does anyone have tutorials on what the best methods of doing this are? What would be the originating sources of traffic?
Does traffic from link lists play a major part in this traffic generating technique? Do you use scripts to build these free sites, like AVSBlitz? Also has anyone ever tried OT Scripts High End Treble? His site doesn't load images right now but I was just wondering if the script was worth the price being charged. Any suggestions, ideas, more questions based on traffic acquisition and delivery methods, are welcomed. Cheers ...

bump ... thought a subject like this would be of interest to quite a few people. Obviously it's not because it doesn't have an answer, just questions. Oh well ...

unique content and word of mouth are the best ways of generating traffic, although getting listed on popular link lists will obviously help too. Get your name out to as many places as humanly possible, then you'll have a good start.

Master at Work, when you say it's a nice script, is that because you've used it or know someone who has used it? Or are you basing this on the featureset as laid out on the OT site? Just curious
Downtime, word of mouth works best in larger numbers and generating a bit of traffic on the side seems like a decent idea. It can be qualified and sent on to sites where they can be monitized or perhaps even form part of a bigger community of users that make up your bookmarkers which do the "word of mouth" thing. My intention is to find a way to generate small pockets of traffic (between 1K to 5K) per site and funnel these to other places based on qualifications. Anyone have any tutorials or practical knowledge in doing this? ...

I've heard good things about the script, try GreenGuy and Jim's forum, I think there was a thread about it in the past 12months.
