So, was internext worth the $300?

Just looking to see what other people thought.

For the record, I don't have a problem with that price for THIS show, but would have a problem paying that amount in Vegas in January.

I had fun and it was a great show but 300$ is too much in my opinion. Small shows are cheaper and a lot of fun.

If I was going to just have fun, I wouldn't pay the $300.

The ROI at this show compared to Vegas just doesn't compare...for me at least.

300.00?

Try an average for the typical attendee to have spent over 1K if not more on average.

Everyone's right at the hotel in Florida.

In Vegas, there's WAY too many distractions, and people stay at their hotel of choice.

It's a lot harder to hook up or run into people you want to see.

It was worth for us ...
The 300$ I can live with...it's all the other things that the prices are boosted that I hate.
Ask WiredGuy how much he spent on Mojitos !! ;)

I enjoyed seeing people I knew and meeting new folks. Very productive I would say. Of course it was great to hang out with you Ron and the rest of the TB crew (i.e. Kevin, Jenn, etc.) - good peeps.

No shit! I spent $40 on lunch for just myself....a BLT, an appetizer (three coconut shrimp and three conch fritters), a soda, and a tip. Ouch! I should have just walked over to the pizza place everyone was crowing about.

there was a pizza place? lol I missed that one. I got stuck eatting sushi

The $300 wasnt bad, I just wish the show hours were a bit longer and maybe some more onsite parties.

I have no problem with $300 or even $3000. The relationships made there go a long way. However, it does exclude smaller webmasters, the ones that need to be at these shows to keep up with trends and new events. A $300 ticket and a hotel like the Diplomat, combined with travel expenses exclude a lot of great, eager webmasters from coiming out to the show.

The big programs already have the burden of being expected to spend $, that's fine. The programs that cant' find an ROI need to go back to the drawing board.

Go big or go home with these shows, but there should be exceptions made for up and coming webmasters.

I personally liked this one much much better. Better experience, more cozy than Vegas was/is.

Yes but the drinks were not worth $10-15

Web Designs Trade Shows cost upwards of 1k so this wasn't bad for $300

I am pretty amazed if you have already realized your ROI this quickly after the event.

My experience is that there are lots of promises made, but it usually takes quite a while before they are realized . . . if at all.

$40 for a BLT? I hope that stood for Beluga caviar, lettuce and tomato
