Acacia is back, this time with a patent that covers dynamic websites..

"The invention relates to the method for the prospective scheduling, periodic monitoring and dynamic management of a plurality of interrelated and interdependent resources using a computer system. The method includes providing a data base containing information about the resources and graphically displaying utilization and availability of the resources as a function of time. Indicia can be made to appear on the display to provide visual identification of symbols as well as information about scheduling, status and conflicts involving the resources. In addition, access to the data base can be made available to provide a continuous update of the display so that the display of the resources is for the most recent data in the data base. Access to the data base can also permit the operator to call up a wide variety of information about the resources and can also be used to track events and procedures."

they are also targeting companies that make scheduling software.. Acacia believes, yet again, that a patent they possess that has been broadly interpretted to mean more than what it says, is available for licensing.

comapanies being "solicited" by acacia are finding me, and i am putting the companies in touch together, as well as trying to point them to prior art where i see it.

with all the patents they claim to have in their portfolio, it will be interesting to see if they try to target the adult biz again

I was going to say, It appears that they are talking about scheduling and CRM software more than anything else.

ya.. and they told everyone how strong and valid the DMT patent was.. that they would essentially own the internet since most sites uses audio or video.

with the cable company lawsuits rolled up with the internet folks, this bogus patent will be nailed down... just going slow due to court processes.

acacia has a serious credibility issue, but yet, they manage to convince mainstream companies to just roll over and payout the licensing, cheaper to pay then to fight i guess.

Unfortunately I think is is 100% the case.
