Personally I wouldn't have a problem with a guy grabbing my cock altough I'm not gay/bisexual - but I'm very secure in who I am. Maybe its because I'm from Europe, but I went to a club in canada once and there's a trick we do with friends overhere in europe - You tell your (unknowing) friend to give you his hand and then you put it against the ass of the person standing in front of you real fast so he can't stop you. Unfortunately doing something like that in canada isn't considered humor, it's considered enough to get a bouncer jumping you :)
And I suspect the same in the usa.
What I want to say is, I think most of you are too 'sue the bastard or bash him into oblivion'-minded. And admit that when you would be sitting with 3 hot babes in a hottub and one of them would discreetly be all over you - it would be hard to resist. Altough I wouldn't want to sit in a cummed hottub either.

For the record I am 100% dutch, one of the 4-5 countries that actually do accept gay marriage, I am for sure a supporter of that! Let anyone have the same perfect day and let anyone do what they want.... when it comes to having sex! BUT do not do this in open or grab someone unasked....

Its a simple statement, especially at a business convention, because seriously if this happened outside the convention the poor twink would have lost his "pretty face" and "teeth" .

olivier69 08-10-2005 07:20 AM

Well I wouldn't be offended by it, I'd take it as a compliment.. but people differ and I guess that's what makes everyone unique.

I get what you're saying about it being a compliment or flattery. Like Nick, I'm open minded about most stuff. The problem is that grabbing at a stranger's groin who didn't ask for it, is by most standards an invasion of space. There are many other ways to compliment somebody regardless of your sex or sexual preference that won't be confused with being a violation. I don't think most women would find it a compliment if you grabbed them out of the blue in private areas.

mrthumbs 08-10-2005 07:38 AM

conventions are just as much business as gfy is..

This industry consists of morons.

Exactly! If this guy would have walked up to me said hey whats up my name is Bla Bla Bla, doing this and that for this and that company.... bla bla bla, I would have taken the time to talk to him hell of course I would try and get some business done! He would find out my 200% interest would be in Ladies!

This was just not the way 2 go

Being european or open minded has nothing to do with it. If this concerned a guy touching your girlfriend or a female friend, would you accept it? Believe me, NO european right-thinking person would. It's just invading someones privacy and a lack of respect, i think.

my buddy chris said he caught 2 of them fucking in the bathroom down by the splash bar.
thats always a good time.

Sharpie 08-10-2005 09:19 AM

It all comes down to two things........ RESPECT & COMMON SENSE! There are just some things that have no place in public, male or female. Episodes like that are what makes it so difficult to find a hotel that will have you - no matter how much money you bring them......

It hurts relations with the hotel, it offends many attendees, and drives many business minded people from the show. This lowers the business calibur of people who attend. It hurts everyone down the line, unless they are just there to party.

jerking each other off in a public jacuzzi? that's just nasty...

guestcam 08-11-2005 12:21 PM

so I am guessing I might be one of the only people on the boards over 30 years old or even a internext veteran.

THIS internext was the worse one in the 6 or 7 I have been to. There was only ONE party I attended that went down as advertised! F*ck me, I felt like a surfer on a dialer site the way AVN wrote misleading after misleading party description.

You think a guy grabbing your package pisses you off? Try getting invited to a party with a vip pass and after a 30 minute buss ride finding out you are buying your own drinks.

And while I too dislike seeing gay guys make out, I do my best to be understanding that all they are doing is their version of sex. In all the shows I have been to, I aint never once heard anyone complain about how that chick was discusting cuz she was giving BJs out in the open. lets face it, most of us male webmasters, myself including, have a bit of homophobia to deal with.

The term "drama queen" was invented by the gays to describe some of their fellow boys for the type of person they were. So If I can see the blanant homophobia in your posts, I am 99 percent certain that the drama queens at poolside spotted it too. VERY LIKELY the sole reason they hit on you; drama queens love drama.

I did ok business for this show but the party aspect of this internext just bit the big one. For now on I am sticking to the vegas shows.

Gay Men & Twinks at Internext

It seems Nick was annoyed that some young gay guy went to far in his flirtations. However, I can tell you that at each and every show I get hit on by some drunken woman and or some drunk gay guy. It happens to be the sex industry. While I am openly bisexual and have been running gay Internet businesses for 9 years now I prefer to do the overt flirting in private.

However, at Internext the normal rules of behaviour are suspended. Cybersocket had a cabana next to CCbill and TopBucks.

A man and woman were very busy groping eachother during the day next to the so called twink with the thong. Then i saw the man go down on the woman on the side of the pool. I thought to myself, "that seems a little innapropriate for this venue." but the thong did not register. In reality both are okay and both are what we are there to promote. I am not going to distinguish between one form of sexual expression and another. If one is okay then the other must be. If one is not offensive then neither should the other be offensive. If gay people being gay in public is offensive then lets limit all forms of overt sexual expression at internext and just keep the whole thing boring as hell and without any genitals or sexual energy. That will make the show more interesting.

:-)

punker barbie 08-11-2005 04:54 PM

Nick baby you are just a sexy beast and women and male are both attracted to you. Geez i thought you would be use to it by now :-)

I'm sorry! I am not a hater in any way, but I have to say next to a great business show.... this was discusting!

Nick, you know I love you....but I'm going to have to weigh in here and disagree based solely on the prejudice involved. ANYTHING goes at these shows, as long as it involves a naked woman. The antics that go on, if accepted, should be accepted across the board. I DO recall the so-called "cocksucking gays" at the Phoenix show...as do I also remember NUMEROUS hardcore photo shoots, nude girls running around the tennis courts, etc....all while the hotel was NOT closed to the public, children included. No one said a word about that.

With that said, it is also my belief that no one, regardless of sexual preference, has the right to touch another person without permission. But that should upset you across boundaries, not just when it comes from a gay man. These shows are filled with night after night of drinking. Are we really that surprised when people get out of hand?

We're getting exactly what we ask for. :2 cents:

Morgan Sommer 08-11-2005 05:24 PM

Sex In Public

Just pondering the public displays of sex and sexuality at Internext. The Hotel has never had any problem with the displays in the last couple of years and did not complain to anyone I am aware of that costumes, or the lack thereof were a problem this year.

This year was no exception, I have seen at the Diplomat, heterosexual and homosexual(of both varieties) sex taking place in and amongst the chairs and planters and on the beach after sunset till dawn. The hotel does not seem to have a problem with this. I have seen people fucking on balconies each and every year.

It would seem that some of the people in our industry are okay with Internext being an overt display of heterosexual sexuality but want to keep the "too gay" or "faggots" in the shadows. The people you are debasing when refering to them as twinks and as "them" are people who paid just like anyone else to be an attendee or exhibitor at the show.

Just Ask A Twink

Don't want to really argue irrelevant points but if you ask any young man who can qualify to be referred to as a twink if they think its a positive or negative term, especially in the gay community, they will almost universally tell you it is used as a derogatory term. As with many other pejorative terms the group it is most often applied to may tend to own it and use it within the group but its still perceived as offensive when applied from outside.

Of course that is all the more reason to use it. :-) Since in a free forum we do encourage the breaking down of those kinds of barriers. For this reason feel free to call me a Faggot.

:thumbsup

BradM 08-11-2005 06:03 PM

Bottom line, I don't give a shit what anyone does in private. I feel guilty seeing a chick in public getting eaten out, same as I would if a guy was sucking another guy off. I don't give a shit if a black gay midget is fucking a 7'4 asian tranny - so long as they keep it to themselves. Same as a straight man, having sex with a straight woman in public. No god damn difference.

I don't run around spanking vaginas, so if a dude ran up to me and grabbed my dick for any reason, he would be flat out getting his face hammered into the ground.

It's called respect - and no one has it these days. I don't care if I am at internext or the buffet line at red lobster on christmas eve, that shit should not happen.

All you overly insane liberals can eat my ass. (in private of course)

Drake 08-11-2005 06:10 PM

Lots of people are mixing this up as a gay issue. No doubt this thread is ripe with homophobes but Nick isn't one. Female models (some obviously paid) and friends running around naked touching each other and having your testicles groped by a stranger are two different things.

It's not an 'equality' or 'gay' issue. It's personal space, etiquette, common sense. Yep, there is and should be a more laid back atmosphere at an adult convention. You won't find naked men and women at any other type of convention. That's a given and that's what makes conventions fun because that is accepted at an adult convention. But touching stranger's private parts isn't accepted nor should it be without their consent.

Is it ok for Nick to go up to the first model he sees and start rubbing on her pubes? I doubt it would be taken lightly.

one reason why i never go to these things. i can't imagine much business ever gets done. and despite the cries of equality there is no doubting that this industry was built on naked women and consists of mostly straight males so of course naked women are going to be more accepted. where are the gay guys here to speak up for themselves? they probably realize what they did was wrong, and it would be wrong if it was a guy and a girl or a girl and girl. have all the sex you want, just do it out of the public eye.

sexkeydwayne 08-12-2005 08:27 AM

We fear that which we don't understand..............

I am over 30 and have attended several of these shows as well as other explicitly gay venus.

I am completely straight and would have to say that I don't find any offense what-so-ever when a gay man, or woman pays extra attention. As far as I am concerned, it is the best flattery you could ever receive seeing that someone finds you attractive. By the way, that comes from a genuine area in the gay community as to where in the straight community, you might like to think that you know their motives, but we truly don't.

As far as someone molesting another person, and please notice my language, because it is not gender specific for a reason. It has been done to me, and you can be nice and forceful enough to let them know the next time they grope you, they will get bitch slapped. I don't want any uninvited package checking period, man, woman, or anyone I already slept with thinking its "OK" to squeeze the crown jewels. I am by no means a prude, but if it happens to you, imagine what a woman would feel like and act accordingly. Men don't tend to strike out focefully without warning in a business environment. You can most certainly embarass them by raising your voice and saying "I'M STRAIGHT! Cut your shit!" Then, they tend to leave. I have seen moments where owners of company's should have had their shit mopped for groping girlfriends in front of boyfriends, but respect was used and cool heads prevailed.

As far as 2, 10, 50 gay guys jumping in the jacuzzi with you, I tend to take Howard Stern's approach. If you don't like what you are listening to, or seeing, change the FUCKING channel. You are now imposing your particular taste as to what can happen in a public area "AT A PORN CONVENTION" hello??????????? let me say that again for those who didn't catch it "YOU'RE AT A PORN CONVENTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Morgan is absolutely correct, they paid their money, they have every right to be there, and do the exact same things that the heterosexuals tell me they did every night in the pool.

If you aren't into it, and you don't want to see it telling security that there are people fucking in the pool at a porn party will get many laughs, and dragging them to security will definately get you a date with a 10 by 10 cell for assult. I love people who talk so big and bad on the boards after the fact.

Respect is what its all about! I didnt went to any shoots.... If I wanted to see gay action or hetero action yeah it can arranged.... I just simply choose non of it!

I respect Gay people just as any other person! BUT come on anyone should agree on having a choice on seeing it or not! Than anyone can see turn your head around... Did that and saw the same thing!

I adore some gay people in this business and have no problems huggin and kissing them " on the cheak " I am sure the people I am talking about read this....

Let me make something real clear I have no problems with gay people especially not in this business, but keep things in private!

Is Internext a business 2 business show? or a business 2 consumer? we all know the answer, please let us keep it this way!

Ive been to many shows and this is just something that got my attention and needed to be told!

Offending no one! as far as I'm concerned these twinks were models??? and the company they were representing probably didnt informed them well enough.....

Still clueless and giving my honest opinion with respect!

IF I didnt had respect, I would have pulled them out of the pool/jacuzzi and gave them a slappin.... if I didnt had respect home boy who grabbed me would not have been at the hotel anymore but would have chilled at the hospital!

So please tell me now people? Did I said anything wrong? disrespected anyone? Not even while I am feeling completely disrespected?

Its as clear as it gets, agree or not, do not agree? I would love to hear it

Nude girls running around ok, a nude guy running around ok, no problem for me! Public pool for our business or public and people having sex in it? should we accept people having sex in it? either gay or hetero sexual? I dont think so......

I love and adore you 2!

I guess all you had to do is ask ;)

:2 cents: Morgan you made some excellent posts in this thread-
You understand this business a lot better than most people do-

There is a little too much homophobia in our business, however it IS proportional to how much homophobia there is in the world.

You have to agree however that there are a lot of gay people who DO love to shock , and overtly flirt with straight guys- I know a lot of Gay men who fantasize about turning a straight guy out-

That's fine as long as the other person being flirted with is down with it-
I also have to agree there is a double standard when it comes to this.

I see a lot of inappropriate behavior at shows that are of a heterosexual nature as well-
People just don't know how to act sometimes-

I think we can agree that gays are a minority, and it would be foolish not to see why a lot of people who flew to Internext from all over the globe, would be a bit hyper sensitive to gay people.

If I am a Jew travelling in Southern Georgia, I wouldn't exactly wear my Star Of David in full few Aryan Ku Klux Klan types- and although you can't identify who are the Klan- you have a pretty good feeling tha you may not be welcomed with a Bundt cake.
:-))

just my 2 :2 cents:

Hey there Nick! I am SO sorry that we didn't have a chance to hang at this show. I was so fricking swamped by the time that I saw you that I just never caught up. :-(

Weighing in on your points in this thread. Grabbing someone in a sexual way without their permission is never acceptable. PERIOD.

As for the activity going on around the pools, all I was concerned about was Sunday afternoon. I posted about this in another thread, and it concerns all the sexual type activity that was going on after the public was allowed in and children were present.

I personnally think that there are two parties at fault. One is the Hotel, for not warning everyone that Internext basically ended at 3pm Sunday and the public was being let in. (Unaware, when they had booked their rooms a month or so ago, that this would be going on)

The other people that are wrong here are the convention people, no matter what their orientation, that thought it's ok to act like I saw people acting right in front of children on Sunday afternoon. Those parents had no reason to suspect that this would be going on in a hotel pool in the middle of the day. Gay or Straight, the sexual things that were happening were NOT right, and the people there seemed too selfish and self-centered to give a crap

We hold ourselves so high and mighty, as an industry, about protecting kids, but when there are kids right in front of us, that we can protect simply by limiting our behavour a little bit, our attitude just seems to be F#%K 'em.

perhaps they should have an excluse section for these people. but they should be aware of surroundings if kids are present. thats just not right

Go Kick Rocks for all your typing. Some times I just don't understand human beings.

pretty sad that we can't have an enjoyable time because others are more privileged to enjoy theirs.
