Iran wants the nukes because Israel is pointing theirs at them already - for deterrence - makes sense. Israel has already threatened to launch one at Irans nuke plant once - and tried to sabotage it once - so Iran is going to do it no matter what the US or UN says.

Iran would also probably like a nuke to use against Iraq - payback. I say more power to them - it sure would end this developing civil war faster.

Just please do not allow Alabama to get one!

I never claimed that it wasnt beneficial for us in some way, nor do I claim that we're saints or fairy godmothers, but in a lot of cases we still do shit that benefits us in no way just because we can and it's the right thing to do.
