It is a racist situation. Alcohol can be traced to the mideast and deeply influenced ancient european civilization. Pot smoking was big mostly with native americans and Mexicans. i agree. if alcohol is to be legal weed should too. i've never known of anyone starting a fight because they were stoned. i have been in numerous sitchy-ations were people start shit from being drunk. health risk factors are higher for alcohol too. and like you said, alcohol is more addictive than weed. and the whole government propaganda about weed being the gateway to all other drugs is pure bullshit.
i have been around it all. any drug there is, i have known people who do it. lots of em smoke weed before trying other shit, but i know more potheads than you could count on all fingers & toes who want nothing to do with any other drugs.

It is DECRIMINALIZED, there is NO JAIL TIME for weed here.
Just like Canada, California has a 100$ fine for up to an Ounce of weed on you.
