Dude, seriuosly, if you're getting death threats and your taking them seriously enough to want to talk to this guy, don't you think that you should contact the police? |
One possible solution would be to hack his computer and look around there, you would probably be able to find out who he is that way. Given you have a site that he visits it should be pretty easy installing spyware using the latest browser exploits.
Given it is kinda illegal, I'm not suggesting that you should do it, just pointing out it is possible. |
what milambur said. or bribe some dude from ISP
|
The problem is resolved. Just took $$$. There will be no more problems.
To the dickheads in this thread: The mere fact you can insult a man who is clearly concerned for his family says a lot about your character. None of which is good. I'm in a good mood today and that's about the nicest thing I can say about you. |

So sometimes you CAN find out a lot of info. And sometimes the moon is made of cheese. |

they already told you how to find the name and address.
1. file a police report 2. the police will get a court order 3. the isp will turn over the information to the police. 4. press charges 5. bam you have the name and address. |

If you go to http://ws.arin.net/whois and enter ip 66.140.68.90 you will see swbell is assigned the block and you will see the customer who is assigned that static ip. (just using that one as an example. It is noone I know) You won't find the address, but the name can give you a start on it. But, I agree that usually you cannot get to the actual customer with just the ip. |
50 perm IP... :banana
|
En example?
Ok. Try a whois on 212.181.92.132. You will get not only the address, but the correct building (and incorrect person, but it narrows it down to about 5 people). To prove the opposite, just look up any ip in the 213.65.0.0 - 213.65.255.255 range. You will get the exact same reply for the entire B-class network whichever IP you lookup. Thus it has nowhere near the detailed mapping of the first example. Thus, sometimes you can find out almost everything from just an IP. I rest my case. :pimp /Egon, x3guide |
