I think he may have been at the beginning stages of being a schizophrenic. So she is probably a lot better off with out dealing with that in her life.

Anyone who would get that angry and want to hurt someone that much by doing the most selfish act I can think of is an ASSHOLE and is better off dead.

I dunno... Maybe, they didn't actually have to take a pic of the girls actual phone to post the article. Perhaps they just used a generic stock footage phone to convey that it's an article about cell phones?
