Does anyone know for a fact what happens in Ontario, Canada?

I had kinda assumed it was decriminalized, but I remember seeing some people's names in the local small town paper involved with possession of marijuana. Is there still a fine for small amounts?

in BC they can't even give you a fine now
at most they can take it away
but you're legally allowed to have 10g's

Here they laugh at you for being to broke to buy more, they then make you dump it on the ground and smash it in with your foot

They handcuff you and your friends and tell you you're all going to jail. You say "Well, officer, my law-abiding friends here had no idea I had marijuana in the car". Your friends agree and pronounce pure disbelief that your nice, supposidly law-abiding citizen friend would ever touch the evil devil weed. Your friends are let go. They arrest you, impound your car, take you to the station and ask you how much you bought this for. You say $40 and they all laugh at you and tell you that you got ripped off and that you don't have the hook-up. Then they tell you to keep smoking pot, but not while driving. They summon you, then they let you go. The next day they make you walk 10 miles on a particularly hot day to the impound lot to get your car back.

Actually, my buddy got caught with about 7 grams and that's what happened. Of course, I was in the car with him and found in particularly funny how the officer tried to scare all of us by saying we are all going to jail. Of course, I was 16 at the time.

15grams of hash is enough to be considered traffic here...

Here in NY they're either take it from you and go home and smoke it themselves or write you a ticket that amounts to about the same thing as running a stop sign.

$50 slap on the wrist.
