I turned 17 that year. I (with much embarassment) can sing the lyrics to most of the songs you have in that list and in fact have the singles or full CDs to a good 90% of the list. Violator is actually in the car CD player right now.

It was also the year I met my wife who I am still with.

Two years older, in college by that point. And I listened to KROQ, not "Power 106" (So Cal people know exactly what this means) so I preferred so-called "new-wave" music to that "pop" that dominates most of your list.

Unfortunately both would go bye-bye shortly after as horrid grunge shit-rock took over, so it's a moot point...thank god those days are over.

Its going to be my first convention as well. I was struggling for a reason to go to Florida (other than getting loaded and partying like mad) and couldn't come up with a solid excuse in time.
