and somehow it's better to tell somebody you know is on a crash course with failure to 'go get 'em champ!'? that's irresponsible and selfish - letting someone drown when you could have/should have told them the ice was too thin, or there's a deadly undertow in the water they were going to jump into
is a crime of negligence and ommission. sometimes when somebody tells somebody they are going to fail it's just the truth, based on real experience and knowledge.
i see it on this board alot - people who will lose thousands of dollars, money they might no be able to afford to lose, money which may be borrowed from family and friends encouraged by those who bottomline couldn't give a shit if the person is living in a cardboard box in 3 months time.
