    Fan Signs

    No, this isn't a 'request' thread There's been soooo many girls doing fan signs lately. I'm thinking about doing some again. Maybe. We'll see.
    Anyways, I'm wondering - what do webmasters prefer? Video fan signs or plain 'ol normal 'I *heart* whoever' on a piece of paper?

    edit: and no, I'm not doing body art fan signs again - that was a pain in the ass!

              I think the video fansigns could be a very interesting thing. I for one would want one, and I'm sure many MGP owners would. However, the best part about pics is that they can be displayed on any page, without any noise for surfers. I guess it all depends on the webmaster.

                                      i'm still greatful that you hooked me up with a bodypaint fansign, thanks again for that!!!!

                                      but i normally prefer picture fansigns, of non-paper signs, so i would prefer a vid fansign rather than regular "i love whatever" on paper signs

                                                                                                                  It was hillarious though watching some of her videos, just the way she grins and poses made me laugh my ass off because I know how much of a massive dork she is. Especially that one where you are messing around with those damn white drapes and have that ridiculous song in the background. Holy hell what a riot.

If they look unique and not massproduced it will sell better. That's why you should only do them to active affiliates.

                                                                                                                                                          Videosigns would be awesome to put up on a mgp or in a members area, but again, only do them to active affiliates.

                                                                                                                                                                  Personallly, I would put a link to fansign requests in the affiliate area or do a mailout to affiliates rather than posting somewhere like here, at least then you would know you are doing them for people promoting you, or at least intending to promote you. I do wonder sometimes how many of the people who request fansigns in these type of threads actually use them to promote the sponsor.

You mean...you won't paint "NickPapageorgio" on you again???? lmao...I know it was a pain. I like pics personally if I ask for a fansign. I guess videos could show that it's more personal or something but pics just seem more versatile to me.

                                                                                                                                                                                              The whole reason the fansign craze was so popular was to attract new affiliates. I see how it could be a waste of time doing 100 of them and only get 25 actually sending traffic with 10 even sending a sale or two.

                                                                                                                                                                                              I also see that if you do not get yours now, you may not ever... so if you have a site they will fit fine... if you plan on making a special section or a certain project, fine. Some webmasters may be sitting on the fansigns until they finish projects (perhaps waiting for more than half a dozen signs) or even waiting to put their signs up after the rest of the world dies down a bit. forgotten even.

                                                                                                                                                                                              Either way it boils down to whether or not your affiliate count went up, who cares if they send traffic now or next year. It will pay off in the end.
