My Industry Farewell, The highs, the lows, and those dearest to me?

In every person?s life, change is inevitable. In my life, the time for the inevitability has arrived and I am forced to make a choice. My fellow colleagues, friends, clients? The ride has been unforgettable. It has been the most amazing 6 years of my life due, in large part, to the people whom it as brought me closer to.

For the last several months, Brett and I have been in negotiations for him to purchase my half of DormBucks and at the beginning of July we reached an agreement. With Brett and I still very good friends and absolutely no hard feelings, on August 1st of this year I will bitter-sweetly pack my bags and take to the road, bringing with me the knowledge gained from doing business in a marvelously fun (though largely unscrupulous) industry, an immense amount of experience, some very very close friends, and a decent sack of loot.

I?ll be moving on to pursue new ventures outside of the adult industry, but will probably pop my head back on the boards from time to time. Plus, now that I won?t actually be attached to any company, I think I stand a pretty good chance of giving Juicy a run for his money for being chief board-whore ;-)

The memories I have, particularly from the conventions, will stay with me until the day I die? I have been blessed by being able to live the good life while most other people were still in college. I have seen a huge part of the country in my travels, and have stayed at some of the poshest resorts and hotels, eaten some of the best food, while in Hollywood FL I drank some of the most expensive god damned Captains & Coke the world has ever heard of, and seen hundreds upon hundreds of vaginas? and twice as many breasts! Here are some of those most fond memories?

January 2000, Las Vegas, IA2000: Brett suckered me into going along with SexHound, and holy fuckin shit, this was the nail in the coffin for me. After seeing how hard people partied and how much money there was to be made in porn, I knew there was no looking back. The booths ? some of them were HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS! Most of you don?t have any concept of this because you don?t know what the REAL money was like back in 2000 when there was still venture cap, fraud transactions, and mob money flowing like water. Titties ? naked girls running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Busty Amateurs (half the reason I wanted to get into the business) and their train of some of the hottest girls to ever bless the industry. The conventions of today don?t even come close. They cannot hold a candle to the amount of partying and the amount of money spent at IA2000. Going out to the Naughty sushi party, eating sushi off of naked girls, and having George Clooney and Dennis Rodman crash the party. And finally, our very own company party. SexHound dropped $40,000 in one night on our company party, renting out the 2nd largest suite at the Venetian (we were SUPPOSED to have the 1st, but that cock gobbler Andy Edmond outbid us) ? That room was packed, and the booze was flowing ? Busty DJ?s did the music, and their girls tore up the dance floor and the bathrooms. Still burned into my retinas is the visual of Ron Jeremy doing a line of coke off of Heather?s freshly shaven pussy. The next day Brett, Bryan (Rest in Peace), and I went out to Wolfgang Puck?s to have dinner with Madelyn Night (she was such a sweetheart), Jenteal, Shyla Foxxx, and their boy toys. The dinner was great, and as I recall, the most expensive dinner on a per-head basis I had ever had? With a shrug and a smile, we put it on SH and hit the door to tear up the strip. I slept the least on that trip out of any other convention I?ve ever been to?. Probably only averaged 2 hours a day/night ? cuz we had to be on the show floor by 8 am, and would party until 5 or 6 am each night. On my last day there merely 2 hours before my plane, I found myself in Shyla?s room alone, seeing her bed torn up with half a dozen sex toys and crops laying in goopy messes on the floor, apparently she had had an orgy the night before with David Lee Roth and a few others. Anyway, I was 21 and barely knew what was happening when she said ?hold on, I just need to get changed? (she had a plane to catch too, and I had escorted her to her room). Low and behold, before I could even offer to leave the room, she undid two buttons and dropped her dress (and my jaw) to the ground right in front of me. There I stood. 21, in a room with a pornstar, alone, she was stark naked. Apparently porn stars don?t wear bras or panties. My mind scrambled, my heart pounded, and I didn?t know what to do... before I knew it my mouth was saying ?Oh my god!, I?ll wait outside!? and started to go for the door. ?No it?s okay, you can stay.? ? Well, nothing did end up transpiring, but I did get the best flash of female stranger?s entire body that I had ever had. What a great trip.

Summer, 2000: After leaving SexHound with Brett, we discovered what a cold and cruel place the world can be. And to those of you who are unhappy working where you are at, grinding your teeth every day, knowing that you could do a ?MUCH better job? than those pieces of shit you work for, take it from me ? It?s a helluva lot easier to do business when you?ve got someone else?s bank account backing you!!!!!!! That summer was when Brett and I really developed not only our friendship, but an incredibly strong working relationship together. Like a pair of injured soldiers in combat, we carried eachother throughout the next several months. There were times I wanted to quit, there were times I almost gave up, there were times I wanted to cry, but Brett was always there for me. I will never forget that summer and the years that followed.

Spring, 2001: Chad, thank you for the words you gave me, and for your and jay?s generosity to us when DormAngels was barely a budding project. I was | |hahaha61663; THIS close to giving up. Without RNP, the dream would have been over before it began.

April 2002, Phoenix, The Phoenix Forum: Brett and I had developed a good relationship with Corvett, but he went one step further and offered us his place to stay during the convention. We weren?t making a ton of money, so this was immensely generous of him. He even had the CCBill bus take us around during our stay! I don?t remember a whole lot of that convention, other than the fact that Corvett was cool as hell? the rest of it was a blur =) ? a HOT blur ? with a couple of girl fisting eachother in a hotel room somewhere? anyway, that trip ended with Brett lying in the greasy pavement out behind Philly Burtos? not sure if he was going to vomit or not.

October 2002, Vancouver, West Coast Webmasters(?): Brett and I decided at the last minute to make an impromptu trip up to the event. We had no hotel reservation, a few hundred bucks apiece, and the DormAngels video cam. We drank like fishes at the the SweetLoads party and had our first Cuban cigars. I think it must have been those damn Cohibas that pushed me over the limit. We found ourselves stumbling like drunk fools around downtown Van at 3:30 am looking for a place to crash. My fondest memory is the first place Brett and I went, we stumbled into a Best Western hotel, and asked how much a room would be ? after a very ?you guys must be gay? look from the clerk at the desk, he replied ?it?s $189 a night.? To which Brett promptly barked back: ?FER WHAT?!? It?s a Best Western!? ? and we laughed our way out of their lobby and gaily took to the streets again. I don?t even remember the name of the place we ended up staying at, but we managed to get a gigantic suite with a huge balcony for something like $100 for the night. Early the next morning, Brett and I awoke to a savage hangover. The taste of the Cohiba, still strong in both our mouths, it was a race to the toilet to see who would vomit first. Brett won, I was stuck vomiting in the garbage can. We hacked our guts out for the next hour and slowly made our way back to my car (which was still at the Palisades Hotel from the night before). September 2003, New York, Nina?s Party: I had high expectations of NY, expected a party around every corner, undying nightlife, and gazillions of hot women. Instead what I got was an unexpectedly memorable tour of Manhatten and its history, including Ground Zero, the Brookly Bridge, Wall Street, and several other places by Fletcher?s close friend, a native New Yorker with the attitude to match. Jeff and Andy, I had a great time hanging with you guys there. But particularly Brett too ? I think this was one of the first times we were able to pause and take a breath to look back at what we had done and where we had come. Ian Schrager hotels are pieces of shit? but we lived and learned. I still have the flip-flops I wore on the tour, and will probably end up framing them. And for some reason, starting with the hangover after night #1 (the night I went out to Exit alone and almost got the shit kicked out of me by some dude who was mad cuz I was trying to dance like a white guy with his girlfriend, luckily the bouncer was twice his size and intervened before I could make the dude feel REALLY sorry. ;-) ), whenever I drink heavily, my teeth still sting like crazy the next day!

August 2004, Hollywood, Internext: Perhaps it was made all that more surreal by the impending hurricane, or the fact that I was completely stressed out by my house purchase, but Hollywood was also a particularly grand experience. The hotel, the double decker pool, and the surrounding area, were all great. The atmosphere of South Beach was breathtaking the night that Corvett and I cruised down there with his cousin and her friend. And that night I had my first chance to over-bribe a bouncer to let us in VIP to the swankiest club in town, while I was wearing my usual flip-flops, cargo shorts, and my ?Take a Picture? tee shirt. The late nights at the pool with Fletcher and the crinkle count at the Amateur Bash were tons of fun as well. I will miss partying with Fletcher, he was a very good friend.

Since then it?s all been a blur, but as time goes on, I?m sure the great memories will get sorted out? surely they?ll include Charles and Lou from Karups, The Party Bus, Ron?s house in the hills, the Vegas Amateur Bash (without the stale-party stench the morning after), Dinner at Lightspeed?s place (very very impressive!!), and of course partying more with Brett, Corvett, Adam, Hugh, and Matt.

Over the years I?ve had the best of times and the worst of times. I attribute a vast portion of my success to many people, and I?d like to take a moment to say ?Thank You? to some of those people.

Brett ? of course you?re at the top of the list. Words cannot even come close? we have been business partners, teammates, brothers, at times sisters, and of course friends to one another. We have truly been through it all together from day 1. I have never known a professional life without you by my side, and I have to admit, the thought of going off on my own is a little bit daunting. You are one of the most intelligent people I know and will go on to be wildly successful. You store the most peculiarly useful shit in your mind; you?re like a walking google. A crutch in my times of need, a sounding board, a lawyer, a professor, I would not be what I am today without your help. Thank You for everything we have done together and all the experiences we have had.

Chris Ramirez ? I hate to say it, but as much as I hate this guy ? I have to give him props. If he didn?t think I was a cute 20 year old twink back in ?99, I would have just been fired as a shitty programmer and gone on to live my life in a dark room abuzz with computer fans. But because of you, I discovered that business is an amazing thing, and I?m actually pretty OK at it. Thank You Chris, for giving me my first shot and opening my eyes, and Thank You for then burying yourself in your stupid fucking medications and delusional world and fucking it all up so I could witness first-hand just how fragile it all is.

Jay and Chad (a.k.a. Loster) ? You guys rock. You bailed us out when we needed it even though we didn?t realize where you were at financially then, and even though our projects didn?t work out together, we still became great friends. That night partying with you was out of this world. As I said earlier, Chad - you told me the words I needed to hear that spring day in ?01 when I was ready to let go of all my dreams. And you literally saved my ass when you handed RedNeckPorn over to me. I don?t know what I would have done, but the world was looking very dark. You guys hooked us up with our first bit of hosting in order to launch our new projects, and even hid the bills from DJ when we blew through the bandwidth cap (over and over and over). Thank You both for not letting harsh reality get the best of me.

Mark (a.k.a Corvett) ? We have also become great friends over the years. You have fought tooth and nail for us since Day 1, and have always found ways to help us out. Steve Lightspeed ? I highly respect what you have built. Most people in the world don?t have a clue how to keep it real once they have made millions, but you have always done a spectacular job of it. You have treated Brett and I with respect since our inception and have always been generous to those who are new on the block. It has been encouraging to watch you over the years, because your honesty gave me hope that one could succeed without falling victim to greed. You are a very good role model and I wish more people would take a chapter out of your book. Thank you for always being honest and down to earth.

Lange ? If it wasn?t Mark sticking up for us it was you. You were an out-of-this-world account rep, and you put up with my gripes for years after you left CCBill hahaha61514; We have a great friendship and I can?t wait to hang out with you again. Thank You for being one of the coolest mofos I?ve ever met!

Fred Warner ? You were a great client of mine back at SexHound and showed me a lot of the ropes of the industry. Thank you for teaching me how the porn world goes ?round, and for working on Yishai to try and bring me on at Online. Perhaps it?s better it didn?t work out? Regardless, thanks man ? you?ve been a great resource.

Adam (a.k.a. Chichio) ? I think the circumstances around our meeting were pretty funny when looked back upon? I?m glad you joined us back in ?03. You helped put more meat on our bones than any other partner of ours ever has. I?ll be seeing you around town =) Thank You for helping us out so much and for being a good friend!

Karups ? Both Lou and Charles, Thank You guys for understanding our situation and cutting a deal with us for Mandy?s content. Few businesses are as respectable as Karups and I?m glad we became good friends in the process.

LOL, we definitely did it right back in the day. That show Jeff brought 2 girls with him and never told each girl about the other girl. I spent half the show taking care of the girl not in the bedroom with Jeff so he could do his thing. That party some dumb girl wrote all over herself with magic marker and was running around naked.

Damn, that's good stuff, buddy. I don't really like saying goodbye so like you said, see you around town. I know that whatever you end up doing you'll be happy and it will be a success. Whatever you do just make sure you can do that little bouncing leg thing you do while you're working. It use to drive me insane but it kept you focused and not bouncing off the walls of the office at least.

I know that industry will miss your crazy ass antics. Who's gonna be the biggest perv at the shows now? Who will say the most nastiest thing possible in all those awkward situations? We've got some big shoes to fill. Thank you for being a good friend and a fair partner.

That summer was when Brett and I really developed not only our friendship, but an incredibly strong working relationship together. Like a pair of injured soldiers in combat, we carried eachother throughout the next several months. There were times I wanted to quit, there were times I almost gave up, there were times I wanted to cry, but Brett was always there for me. I will never forget that summer and the years that followed. April 2002, Phoenix, The Phoenix Forum: Brett and I had developed a good relationship with Corvett, but he went one step further and offered us his place to stay during the convention. We weren?t making a ton of money, so this was immensely generous of him. He even had the CCBill bus take us around during our stay! I don?t remember a whole lot of that convention, other than the fact that Corvett was cool as hell? the rest of it was a blur =) ? a HOT blur ? with a couple of girl fisting eachother in a hotel room somewhere? anyway, that trip ended with Brett lying in the greasy pavement out behind Philly Burtos? not sure if he was going to vomit or not. October 2002, Vancouver, West Coast Webmasters(?): Brett and I decided at the last minute to make an impromptu trip up to the event. We had no hotel reservation, a few hundred bucks apiece, and the DormAngels video cam. We drank like fishes at the the SweetLoads party and had our first Cuban cigars. I think it must have been those damn Cohibas that pushed me over the limit. We found ourselves stumbling like drunk fools around downtown Van at 3:30 am looking for a place to crash. My fondest memory is the first place Brett and I went, we stumbled into a Best Western hotel, and asked how much a room would be ? after a very ?you guys must be gay? look from the clerk at the desk, he replied ?it?s $189 a night.? To which Brett promptly barked back: ?FER WHAT?!? It?s a Best Western!? ? and we laughed our way out of their lobby and gaily took to the streets again. I don?t even remember the name of the place we ended up staying at, but we managed to get a gigantic suite with a huge balcony for something like $100 for the night. Early the next morning, Brett and I awoke to a savage hangover. The taste of the Cohiba, still strong in both our mouths, it was a race to the toilet to see who would vomit first. Brett won, I was stuck vomiting in the garbage can. We hacked our guts out for the next hour and slowly made our way back to my car (which was still at the Palisades Hotel from the night before). Instead what I got was an unexpectedly memorable tour of Manhatten and its history, including Ground Zero, the Brookly Bridge, Wall Street, and several other places by Fletcher?s close friend, a native New Yorker with the attitude to match. Jeff and Andy, I had a great time hanging with you guys there. But particularly Brett too ? I think this was one of the first times we were able to pause and take a breath to look back at what we had done and where we had come. Ian Schrager hotels are pieces of shit? but we lived and learned. I still have the flip-flops I wore on the tour, and will probably end up framing them. And for some reason, starting with the hangover after night #1 (the night I went out to Exit alone and almost got the shit kicked out of me by some dude who was mad cuz I was trying to dance like a white guy with his girlfriend, luckily the bouncer was twice his size and intervened before I could make the dude feel REALLY sorry. ;-) ), whenever I drink heavily, my teeth still sting like crazy the next day! __________________ -TaDoW I've Upped My Standards, Up Yours! The hotel, the double decker pool, and the surrounding area, were all great. The atmosphere of South Beach was breathtaking the night that Corvett and I cruised down there with his cousin and her friend. And that night I had my first chance to over-bribe a bouncer to let us in VIP to the swankiest club in town, while I was wearing my usual flip-flops, cargo shorts, and my ?Take a Picture? tee shirt. The late nights at the pool with Fletcher and the crinkle count at the Amateur Bash were tons of fun as well. I will miss partying with Fletcher, he was a very good friend. Since then it?s all been a blur, but as time goes on, I?m sure the great memories will get sorted out? surely they?ll include Charles and Lou from Karups, The Party Bus, Ron?s house in the hills, the Vegas Amateur Bash (without the stale-party stench the morning after), Dinner at Lightspeed?s place (very very impressive!!), and of course partying more with Brett, Corvett, Adam, Hugh, and Matt. Over the years I?ve had the best of times and the worst of times. I attribute a vast portion of my success to many people, and I?d like to take a moment to say ?Thank You? to some of those people. Brett ? of course you?re at the top of the list. Words cannot even come close? we have been business partners, teammates, brothers, at times sisters, and of course friends to one another. We have truly been through it all together from day 1. I have never known a professional life without you by my side, and I have to admit, the thought of going off on my own is a little bit daunting. You are one of the most intelligent people I know and will go on to be wildly successful. You store the most peculiarly useful shit in your mind; you?re like a walking google. A crutch in my times of need, a sounding board, a lawyer, a professor, I would not be what I am today without your help. If he didn?t think I was a cute 20 year old twink back in ?99, I would have just been fired as a shitty programmer and gone on to live my life in a dark room abuzz with computer fans. But because of you, I discovered that business is an amazing thing, and I?m actually pretty OK at it. Thank You Chris, for giving me my first shot and opening my eyes, and Thank You for then burying yourself in your stupid fucking medications and delusional world and fucking it all up so I could witness first-hand just how fragile it all is. You bailed us out when we needed it even though we didn?t realize where you were at financially then, and even though our projects didn?t work out together, we still became great friends. In my life, the time for the inevitability has arrived and I am forced to make a choice. My fellow colleagues, friends, clients? The ride has been unforgettable. It has been the most amazing 6 years of my life due, in large part, to the people whom it as brought me closer to. For the last several months, Brett and I have been in negotiations for him to purchase my half of DormBucks and at the beginning of July we reached an agreement. With Brett and I still very good friends and absolutely no hard feelings, on August 1st of this year I will bitter-sweetly pack my bags and take to the road, bringing with me the knowledge gained from doing business in a marvelously fun (though largely unscrupulous) industry, an immense amount of experience, some very very close friends, and a decent sack of loot. I?ll be moving on to pursue new ventures outside of the adult industry, but will probably pop my head back on the boards from time to time. Plus, now that I won?t actually be attached to any company, I think I stand a pretty good chance of giving Juicy a run for his money for being chief board-whore ;-) The memories I have, particularly from the conventions, will stay with me until the day I die? I have been blessed by being able to live the good life while most other people were still in college. I have seen a huge part of the country in my travels, and have stayed at some of the poshest resorts and hotels, eaten some of the best food, while in Hollywood FL I drank some of the most expensive god damned Captains & Coke the world has ever heard of, and seen hundreds upon hundreds of vaginas? and twice as many breasts! Here are some of those most fond memories? January 2000, Las Vegas, IA2000: Brett suckered me into going along with SexHound, and holy fuckin shit, this was the nail in the coffin for me. After seeing how hard people partied and how much money there was to be made in porn, I knew there was no looking back. The booths ? some of them were HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS! Most of you don?t have any concept of this because you don?t know what the REAL money was like back in 2000 when there was still venture cap, fraud transactions, and mob money flowing like water. Titties ? naked girls running around like chickens with their heads cut off. They cannot hold a candle to the amount of partying and the amount of money spent at IA2000. SexHound dropped $40,000 in one night on our company party, renting out the 2nd largest suite at the Venetian (we were SUPPOSED to have the 1st, but that cock gobbler Andy Edmond outbid us) ? That room was packed, and the booze was flowing ? Busty DJ?s did the music, and their girls tore up the dance floor and the bathrooms. Still burned into my retinas is the visual of Ron Jeremy doing a line of coke off of Heather?s freshly shaven pussy.
