artists: how do I make text look drippy?

draw it by hand using the airbrush in one layer then ctrl select the layer and gaussian blur. then render lighting effects omni

there are other methods but that one will add depth to the drips like the pic you posted

thanks but the text logo is finished and published.

Now I just want to add some splatters to it.
