Is it an seo thing...9,000 posts = 9,000 links to your sig site?

Is it a 2nd tier thing? 9,000 posts means if someone searches gfy, there's 9,000 possibilities of getting a 2nd tier?

If it is an seo thing, do longer thread carry more weight??
