being more proactive on all this gov shit

I was talking to a friend of mine who is in the video side of the biz and he said the problem with our industry is we are always on the defensive not the offensive. I was thinking Im tired of being told I want children to look at porn. I got a idea:

We all chip in and take full page ads in major newspapers all over the country, stating we dont want your kids look at our product.Thats its time for parents to be responsible for their children and please stop your children from trying to go into our businesses. WE have great marketing and design minds here. We could make a great ad.

it's a nice idea but did you see how much people bitched when they were told they needed to join the fsc ( for many paying as little as $50-$100 in order to help fight an actual lawsuit?

I know but I figured it was worth a try, its so sad that people dont realize. Alittle money can protect you to continue making money in the future.

that is the definate truth. I think if something like you are talking about actually happened it would do nothing but good. I think if there was a group that everytime the government or some group said something wrong about the porn industry they stepped up and called their bluff it would be great.

but sadly this is a cover your own ass type of business.

I fully agree with you. It would not be to hard to put one together as long as nearly everything was public and it actually had bylaws and such. You know act like a real organization.

My prejudice of USA tells me everyone will blame the industry of running away from its supposed responsibility.
