I was recently overcredited by one sponsor for $3k. I told them about it right away.
That's the way it is with me. Period. Whether it's $500, $3k or $100k, is your honesty worth so little that you'd keep the money? No one I'd want to know would keep it. |
I had a sponsor over pay me $1000, I sent the extra back. Got a call from them(someone I knew) He had no idea why I sent them money, he thought I made a mistake :1orglaugh

Yeah for sure. Not only would it be bad karma, but I would sure want them to make it right if they underpaid me so it is only fair.... :2 cents:
|
I will.. if if ever happens. :)

about 4 years ago I got a check from a sponser that was too much. I should have gotten around $200 from them. They sent me a check for $20,200 I just about shit my pants. I hadn't checked my stats in a a few weeks so I thought I must have gotten the mother of all listings. when I check the stats I see that they are correct and I'm owed $200. So for a day I thought about cashing it and then sent the sponser an email. They gave me a number to call and I talked to them. It turns out they had just switched accounting companies and everything was all screwed up. so many got more than they should have and many got less than they should have. They said they had heard from all the people that got too little but that I was the only one that had contacted them about getting too much. To show their thanks they sent me a new check for the $200 I was owed and another $2K to say thanks.

I would tell them ,I'm sure they would find out anyways

Ever heard of a thing called Karma?
Well, it won't help you here.. You could get bad Karma by not telling them... But you could just be the happy beneficiary of Good Karma because your sponsor probably shaved that much over time anyway... |
Not correcting it would be stealing and that is wrong. No gray area there!

Back when I was a kid at my first job I got paid 2x's my normal weekly salary.
I notified the ofice manager and he filed the report to correct it. It was never corrected and at the end of the year they told me not ot worry about it :) |

Never had such a hard time giving money back :) aac is good people |
Yes i would, Ive over paid an employee before and he brought it to my attention so Yes iw ould tell them
|
I would take it to the casino and anything I won over the $500 I would keep and send the rest back.
ok so seriously i would notify the sponsor and tear up the check (which I've done in the past)... but i'd really really wanna take it to the casino |
Yes. Karma can be a bitch!

One of my sponsors (perhaps in concert with Epassporte, I never heard where the fault was) messed up a payment run and deposited my monthly payment into my Epassporte account three times. I was overpaid by thousands.
I couldn't repay the money because they had a business account and I didn't. But after I contacted them, they got with ePassporte and my account got adjusted. I got the impression I was just one of many affiliates who recieved multiple payouts that month. This is really a no-brainer. Even if you're the world's worst thief, it doesn't make sense to steal from folks with whom you have an ongoing profitable business relationship. What am I going to do, screw up my gravy train over two stupid little month's worth of income? Duh. I think not. It's got nothing to do with morals or ethics -- simple self-interest leads to the same outcome. |
