I opened the gif in ImageReady, there is no green dot. What you are seeing is still part of the illusion.

this illusion is pretty simple to figure out, and you could prolly whip up your own version with a little photoshop

its no different then the effect you get when staring at a light source for a little bit, and then look away, you get the blind spot that moves whereever your eyes move.... thats what the green is doing to your eyes in that pic, so you dont see the purple dots that are really still 'there'
