It's easy to want to date within the industry because it's such a relief to hang out with someone who has a clue what you're talking about but it can cause big probs depending on the level of pillow talk you allow.

I personally would rather date outside of the industry... if you find someone who understands and excepts it, it's fine. Unfortunately most people cannot for the life of them, relate to anything we do here. I've actually got to know a couple guys to the point of sharing what I do and have had the big CP word come out of their mouths. The average person cannot usually understand or relate so it's way difficult sometimes. :helpme I guess they watch too much Oprah lol

I also think that casual one night stands within the industry of any kind is a BIG BIG NO NO!! Nothing good can ever come of that. Just limit yourself to an occasional drunk make out session and that's usually thrilling enough with no damage done... haha

In all seriousness, though..it does really depend on the girl in question.

Generally speaking, you won't have the jealousy and mistrust from a girl in the industry...but you may find a whole set of other problems.

Just try to find a cool chick who isn't possessive; wants the companionship of a relationship without all the strings; who supports the fact that you and your kids are going through a difficult process; and who has her own life so she won't try to take over yours, haha.

That's pretty much what I'm looking for in a guy, anyway....I am not going to make any commitments to anyone until I've been separated at least a full year..so I avoid any rebound shit, or just settling for someone who isn't really what I would want long term, lol. But I would like to find someone to see steadily....just one that won't flip if I date someone else or go to a convention or just decide I want to chill with my kids for the weekend. And industry guy seem to be down with that sort of thing more then guys on the outside.

As a general rule I prefer to keep business and personal in their different segment. Not to say I would never ever date someone from the biz, but as a general rule, I prefer dating outside of it.
