Webmaster Program for videos.. how do you set it up?

Just curious if nayone knows a company that would set this stuff up:

If I wanted to sell my video "Clown fucking Gone Wild" that I made, and I wanted to set up an affiliate program so other webmaster can sell it and get a %, are there any companies that have a program to do that that I could sign them up? Like most companies like Ibill and CCbil have their affiliate programs, and they take care of the accounting side and stuff? I'm pretty sure the usual gang of CC guys don't do products, justy memberships. Any ideas?

If you have the time, you can write your own referral scripts; if you have the money, you can hire a programmer.

The benefit is that this way you have full control over the features you want to have. Any existing software will miss a final touch that you might want to have. Carl |

I don't have the time, that's the problem, plus I have found the easiest way to go is to let a 3rdparty do all the processing an payout for their usuall 10% or whatever.

So, there's basically 2 up front ways you can do this. 1. Get a merchant account, CC billing software, a database, some terminal gear, or pay some other 3rd party like Authorize Net to give you a virtual terminal, and set it up. 2. Set up affiliate tracking code on your site yourself, and use Paypal. The first one is much better, but the second one is much cheaper.

but there're companies that sell their content, videos, dvds via CCBILL or IBILL. no?

just set a non-recurring price up, show em the docs that you hold the copyright of the product and you're good to go...

Yes, there are companies selling products on the web... it's amazing.... and they have merchant accounts, and cc processing gear, and all the trimmings to do it. ![]()

I'm sure some of them may make exceptions.... if you're turning millions. But if it's about selling a couple of dvds every month, don't count on it.

I too, sell a product / service that does not fall under the subscription definition..... which is why I use Paypal. ![]()

I guess that works... but it's not the right way to do things, and I can imagine it's ugly on the paperwork end for both parties.

Globill will also do it the same way, basically selling a product as a membership, as I use them for my software.

Sure... if you can get away with selling your stuff as a membership... more power to ya... but they aren't gonna process for you ta sell hard copy books, dvds, dildos, or car parts, or anything else you'd hafta physically ship somewhere....

that was my point.... I understood the original question to be about selling his video.... which brought video tape & dvds to mind..... if it's being sold for download... sure.... sell them a subscription. But if you're shipping them a product.... I think they will decline you. But I don't work for the billing companies.... that's just my experience with them. |

		 Yes it would be DVD/VHS.

The thing that complicates it is the order fullfillment, returns and shit.
