Race riots in London should be coming soon!

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20050723/...in_underground

Holy shit! I knew it.

LONDON - The man shot and killed on a subway car by London police in front of horrified commuters had nothing to do with this month's bombings on the city's transit system, police said Saturday in expressing their regrets. They identified the man as Jean Charles de Menezes, a 27-year-old Brazilian citizen.

A day earlier, the police commissioner said the man was "directly linked" to Thursday's attacks, in which bombs on three subway trains and a bus failed to detonate properly. No one was injured.

"For somebody to lose their life in such circumstances is a tragedy and one that the Metropolitan Police Service regrets," a police spokesman said on customary condition of anonymity.

The man was shot Friday at a subway station in the south London neighborhood of Stockwell. Witnesses said he was wearing a heavy padded coat when police chased him into a subway car, pinned him to the ground and shot him in the head and torso.

"Pinned him to the ground" ok you got him now what "shoot him in the head and torso". Ok he might have been able to detonate a bomb if he had one but still.

Dude probably had a joint in his pocket and was on probation. Obviously, he deserved to die.

You know what the fuck truly bothers me is that idiot on Fox News that does the piece "My Word"? He was jubilent about how the British police popped 5 bullets into this man's chest because the government said he was a suspect. What a fucking Bush parrot.

The terrorist are winning, people. We need to change our governments. They will lead us into financial chaos because some idiot will think it is okay to sell enriched uranium to Al-Qaeda who in turn detonates a low yield weapon in New York City. No New York City, no banking global banking system for weeks.

Just because a law or an executive order is made does not mean it is constitutional or moral.

Racial hatred is growing hugely and unfortunately it has only a little to do with the bombing and shootings and almost everything to do with the bullshit and hate the press are spreading, even fairly 'respected' sources such as ITN.

Of course as spreading hatred, war and violence is essentially the goal of those at the top of the terrorist chain the news services are helping them more than almost anyone else. They currently sicken me almost as much as the bombers themselves.

The British government wants to make speeches by Muslims illegal, but shooting Muslism who are pinned to the ground legal.

The terrorists are winning because they are changing the rest of the world.

Please, he was running away from the police and onto a train, what the fuck was he thinking considering what's happened lately. I would've shot him too, not five times though, more like ten. Who knows if he was waving his arms or trying to free himself (i.e. the possibility of him detonating a bomb).

I agree it's sad an innocent dude had to die, but c'mon... these are special circumstances to the say the least.

Anyone ever heard of the concept of actually stopping when police tell you to?

That might be smart move the next time a cop tries to pull you over or question you. It has kept me alive so far.

These were undercovered cops with guns. Almost all cops in London are uniformed and do not carry guns.

If a bunch of guys were yelling and waving guns at you wouldn't you run too?

I believe they put on their police baseball caps and had their badges out and were shouting STOP _ ARMED POLICE. What else they supposed to do?

Tazers might have set explosives off in such a situation.

Again you assume he was a suicide bomber. Where was his due process? The police need to pay alot of money to that man's family.

The man was executed without a trial. He was a foreigner. What if he didn't speak English? Is it okay to execute tourists because they don't speak the language? What if this happned in Rio? The Brits would be pissed off.

Many Americans also seem to be confused by the whole gun thing. People simply don't point guns at you in this country unless you sell hard drugs, they are armed police or on rare occassions you are working in a bank. If someone points a gun at you here there's a better than good chance he is official and has a very good reason which some don't seem to understand over there.

As has been said though - the 'stop police', hats and armbands are a bit of a give away too

If an Englishman was leaving a terrorist house in rio and was followeed to a known terrorist murder spot and then if that suspect when asked to sto then jumped over a check point and run towards a train (which is a terrorist target) and when the local police shouted "stop or I will shot" and the other 500 people on the platform the stoped and the one English suspect kept running for a train and the the special services shot him, then I doubt any Brits would be pised off.

Lesson number one. When leaving a known terrorist house entering a known terrorist target and jumping over a checkpoint to run towards a known terrorist target, when the local police shout "stop or I will shoot" Then I suggest stopping

exactly. I have never even seen a gun outside the airport. Ive never even seen a policman with a gun. In this country if someone says "stop or I will shoot" and they have a gun then you stop.

they're clearly winning in Oz, the US, and EU :/

sad but true, they ARE making the rest of the world change

and what's almost as sad is the US/EU/AU refusal to fight this the way it should be, through re-evaluation and change of bad foreign policies and not using state-style war on a non-state entity
