BDS, I say just post them. If they are of your normal quality you will either get paid by Lee (doubtfull) or you will get great exposure to sell future orders from new clients.

As of right now you have nothing to lose, but I would say that by you refusing to show them is kinda making me wonder whats to hide?? Probably nothing but the very thought of it is worth posting anyway. At least to me.

If lee wants this, I'll make it happen, he should leave payment with a 3rd party however, I can't trust this guy anymore

I do agree with you there. He came up with the concept and really should have no objections to putting the money into a 3rd party until the vote happens or whatever the ultimate way of tallying the votes is.

Blue Design Studios have probably done rather well out of this thread.

I think it speaks volumes that Lee stopped posting & wouldn't respond to any questions.

Friends and enemies are not likely to switch sides as a result of such persuasive arguments. But I wonder if people who decide to handle threads this way ever stop to think how many "bystanders" will make a note never to deal with either of the parties involved.

By way of contrast, John of NATS and Rand of ePassporte come to mind as two of the people here who actually deal with critical threads professionally and emerge with their personal credibility intact. At worst they limit the damage to their services and often turn the situation around.

That isn't going to happen, plus BlueDesign have held off posting the designs for so long that they could have redone any "poor" or substandard" designs by now.

its sorta stupid that anyone wants to see these designs... they really don't matter. YOU place an order with designer (one that YOU have chosen probably based on their previous work), then you tell'em what YOU want, they deliver & you don't like it? you STILL OWE FOR THE TIME THEY'VE SPENT ON THE WORK YOU HIRED THEM TO DO - IT WAS YOUR CHOICE NOT TO ACCEPT IT, YOU SHOULD BARE THE COST OF THAT DECISION. its just that simple.

Designs are subjective, however time is not.

Based on your theory, I should just hire out 10 design teams with the intention of paying one of them for the final services.

Paying for a design that you feel is sub-par is a cost of doing business. Affiliate programs do it all the time. I have done it. It is life. If the design is devoid of the basic concept, you may have an argument, but I doubt highly a design team such as BDS would not follow the basic instructions or save jpg files as gif.

I eat out a lot. Sometimes, the food is not that great. When the bill comes, I pay it. I pay it every time. My class is more important than my restaurant experience. I also tip 20 percent, as a starting point.

I have a personal perception of what is a professional business procedure in concern with my own projects, as well as Weg projects. I pay for services every time. I pay my bills. My reputation is unblemished in that regard. I intend it to remain such, as it is important to me as a person, businessman and company publicist / marketing director.


I have sent more than a few wires to BDS. I have contacts all over this industry that go out of there way to help me.

I am not trying to start a fight, nor am I playing towards friends. Just voicing my opinion on it.

I could care less about this issue. At the end of the day, Andrew needs to enjoy his weekend and move on. He needs to write off the time as a "cost of doing business." Two way street on how these things work, however, I doubt I am telling him anything he does not know.

I wouldnt pay if the design was shit. Why should I have my company image tarnnished by a shit designer.

I just wanted to see the designs because Blue Design Studios usuallly has great quality stuff and I like to see what top designers are whipping out.

Lee had a verbal contract , he broke that contract and hasn't explained why properly.
