We've seen this issue come up in schools because of gangs. Where kids could no longer wear certain logo / designer wear because gangs adopted those as their "uniform," and innocent kids wearing them were being hassled etc.

The only thing I can imagine that causes it, other than it being instilled from birth of course, is either acceptance amongst your peers or fear of the unknown. I feel sorry for those that were taught hatred, but the latter two excuses are simply signs of weakness. P.S. The video does look fake.
