I have firm belief that AVS will come back stronger than ever due to increasing governmental regulations

On a serious note I would say it's very doubtful. The Feds have already begun to back away from their (proposed) expanded regulations. And I for one am not a bit surprised. They, like Ashcroft before them, will ultimately fail to impose unconstitutional restrictions on an entity which cannot be governed on a global basis. Thus, there will be no need to resurrect AVS as a complaint delivery vehicle for porn.

...But then again, I could be wrong.

Spannow, think about it.. maybe I'm a retard but a softcore tgp gallery is a slightly different version of an avs site.... You get some teaser content .. non sexually explicit and then click another version of the same thing... click credit card/age verification/ purchase with the intent of entering the members area where all the good stuff is.

I dunno I'm overtired and been on the computer for 16 hrs.. am I missing something?

An avs site is a tour linking to a tour and if you're generous you provde them with a minimal amount of content etc and if you're really rockin you'll update..

haha I need to go to bed...

LOL, I'm back home. I drove. I was back to the office since 1am so 3 hours is plenty of time to sober up.

You said it exactly, "it's a slightly different version of..." generally speaking, the days of the AVS as it was are old school. What we're left with today has its origins in AVS but IS something different. But you know I respect your opinion if we don't see it that same way.

...And although you may be slobbering sitting on that sofa - you are not a retard!

I have AVS sites I built in 99 and haven't touched since 01 that are still rebilling enough to pay almost all the biils. I hope it comes back. We have software to crank those sites out.

Ha well biatch, I think what I'm really saying as you said too, is it's the same damn thing. I remember making my first avs site or two and then I went on to do some uhmmm god I can't remember what it was called, it was from pmb.. I made my own tour linking to the join form and it was looked at and approved first.. then me and a buddy lashed out in a blown out seo war.. haha

Anyway my point is, those type of introductions to a members area worked WELL at the time! Then I don't know if it's just MY observation but hardcore free sites and galleries seemed to have been "the thing to do" cuz everyone was wanting the best conversion ratios.... bottom line is it really doesn't make that big of a difference. The sky is not falling.

I need to go to bed

AVS has changed, but really the only major change is that you should promote your AVS just as you would a paysite.

http://kblogger.com/blog/index.php/weblog/C34/

My AVS tutorial for 2005. It is in blog form, so start on page 2 and work your way up.

G'day RRRED,
The other week I had an opportunity to read a very useful post XXXdwarf made dated
09-20-2004, titled "Creating a succesfull AVS site - A TUTORIAL"

It wasn't untill I had a chance to also read the blog written by Baddog that pointed
out a positive method to promote sales, that alone reeducated myself in focusing on AVS.

I can not answer your question RRRED. I have not analyzed the various trends and findings to be honest.

I can share with you this though, I am scheduling some time to apply myself in the AVS building.

Best Regards
Mark

Will they make a come back? Where did they go.
Damn I wish I can show you guys the daily sales our webmasters make off of their AVS sites.

I know this place is focused on TGP's, but guys. Sometimes you have to think outside the box.
We have been paying out millions every month. And that is no lie.
Click My Sig, There they are. Go ahead. Do it.

okay, my AVS sites are just like paysites, but the difference is they hold members much longer than the average paysite...you can build an AVS site with 30 pix or with 40K pix and full movie feeds, they are very flexible..

the whole 2257 thing might scare away webmasters from making avs sites where they host their own content on though... especially if they didnt make the content theirself and dont have the ids.

For those of you still doing AVS', is all your content 2257 and are you processing it directly as though it were a paysite or through an AVS site?

2257 plays no favorites.

Isn't the point of AVS to not have to process thru it? I think you lost me.

Damn I wish I can show you guys the daily sales our webmasters make off of their AVS sites.

I know this place is focused on TGP's, but guys. Sometimes you have to think outside the box.
We have been paying out millions every month. And that is no lie.
Click My Sig, There they are. Go ahead. Do it.
Well my 1500+ CyberAge AVS sites are now changed out to freesites. Since the visa change my payouts dropped by 90% minimum..... I would love to know how they are making so much there when it's hard to find a webmaster (seasoned veterans included) that can actually go through your new format and find my site and not one of your upsell programs..

That ended up being MONTHS of changing out sites and I really wish I wasn't reminded of that nightmare. Sorry Dave I have nothing but respect for you but that's the way it worked out for me.
