$10,000 Question...

Ok Question for you... it's kinda a two parter... some may take this serious, and some may not

Part 1... You have a budget of $10,000 a month to invest in to advertising and promotions, think outside of the box a bit maybe... but what would you spend your $10k a month on ?

Part 2... What return would you expect to get from that investment, and the reasons why ?

I would give it to Boneprone, send him to Vegas, and split the monthly profits 50/50

Very simple.

Write an e-book on any freakin mainstream subject you want and put it up for $8.75. Spend $10K to get 2M+ visitors from various sources in a time period of your choosing. Unless you write on the rice supply and demand in China - you will get no less than 5000 paying customers, at which point you will have revenues of $43K+ minus processing costs.. repeat the process.

Numbers are given here as an example only to demonstrate the potential.. after your first attempt you will know the right cost for your materials, the good traffic sources, which topics to write on and which categories are most profitable. Some attempts will make you half your $10K investment, while others bring in $50K and above.

I'd only spend 1/2 that to start. Maybe 1/4 of it. If you are unsure, you could blow that money real fast... take yoru time, try something, track it... keep moving.

you need to state what the product is you're selling as part of your initial post

I owned a promotional company. It depends on teh target audience, product and price point.

If it's a low cost entertainment product I'd get it inside club and bar bathrooms, like at the urinals, etc it's cost effective and cheap as shit, for branding purposes it's great.
I can go on and on, but 10k is a lot of money if you knwo what you're doing

Let me guess - you're one of those who read it and said it's impossible?

I have 2 people who do just that full time for me for 20% of the profits (and yes, they could do it on their own, and 2 others already did.. I just get new ones from ASU whenever I need to).. I get tired of things VERY fast, so I try to outsource them as soon as I can, otherwise they will get buried.

1) Something different, something that very few people are currently doing. Anybody can come up with a 10k budget and buy up spots on TGP's / MGP's. You want something that would be outside the box, innovative where not many people are currently.

2) If you do something along the lines I describe, either very profitable or huge bust. Its a higher risk game but with higher risk, comes higher rewards.
