Bama!! Kathi is a great person and already works for me, dude :) She came here to work as an Account Manager but when I learned of her Executive and Administrative Skills I promoted her to run one of my mainstream companies.....and she is doing a fine job, I might add :)

Thanks for thinking of her, though, I am sure she will very much appreciate it!

What they seem to find are "professional interviewers". I even had one employee that had been placed in 5 jobs in 5 years from the SAME recruiter. He did nothing wrong, per se, since they really only guarantee an employee for 90-180 days, but I think that borders on fraud.

So, in a nutshell, I have thought about that but I just have had no good experiences using any type of recruiting company.

Do you personally know one that would not screw me that you would be willing to recommend??

A real head hunter doesnt go with people looking for jobs, he calls the person working hard at their job and opens up the idea of change. All my placements were executives not looking for change.

In theory, Tony, that is how it is suppose to work....and I am sure that you were not one of the "less than honest" guys that I dealt with....you have never done anything to make me believe that you are anything less than honorbale. With that said, however, I can tell you that the guy that I was referring to in my previous post would place this dude in a job and then a year later when he had a new client with a better job he would call the guy back and get him to look into the new one. Then he would do it again and again. Instead of cultivating new candidates, he would take his old candidate the BBD (Bigger Better Deal)

Of course, as I said, there are bad apples in every bunch...just look around here....hehehe.....but I digress, if you know someone that you would "vouch" for then I would take your word for it if this latest idea fails.

Hey T, looks like an outstanding opportunity for the right person (If I didn?t own my own business, NatNet is one of the few companies I would consider working for ? top-notch company and they really take care of their people). I cannot think of anyone off of the top of my head, but I will see if I can think of someone to forward this too. Best of luck! :thumbsup

Tony, I can help you, but I need some more specifics. I seem to recall that you do not use ICQ so is there a number I can call you at tonight, or would you like to call me?

[email protected] if you want to send some contact info.

Headhunter, no cost until candidate is found, 5 year replacement guarantee. Office in Atlanta (national actually), and I trust this person with my life.

RRRED 07-20-2005 10:02 PM

Wow what a fantastic opportunity! :thumbsup Every company needs a leader for their sales team and I love the responsibilities that you listed! This will be great for the right person and I know that you will spoil any motivated shark rotten!

I'm trying to think of people that I think would be qualified here... There's always a ton of people asking me for positions like this. However, the only thing that I think would be difficult here is that you would really need to be "in the know" of things before they happen. Hosting accounts would be needed BEFORE someone launched a program. I dunno I suppose if they really branded themselves with your company well, then it wouldn't be so difficult.

I wish you luck Tony! What a great opportunity.

Why dont you call me at the office tomorrow (1-888-4-NATNET). I will be there most all day and will make time to talk to you. I have to admit it sounds like a glaring recommendation so I would be a fool not to consider it.

Thanks, BD!!

I can't vouch for any I know of personally, but I still think they might offer better opportunities than GFY or Monster.com. A position such as Director of a company the size of NatNet is not something that is easy to find. Good luck with your search Tony.

Hey Charles...

Of course, we'll look at any option, and like Tony said, if you have someone you recommend, we'll absolutely talk to them.

We've always had pretty good luck with Monster and we get a pretty good deal from them :)

Tony--

I used to have a sales rep that would be perfect for this job back from my mainstream days. I will see if I can catch up with him. We were selling data services and he should be able to pick up hosting pretty easy.

no, executive staffing companies and the candidates they deliver are *not* the right choice. they are great when you need a cog for a well oiled corporate machine, but for a dynamic business that needs to grow in leaps and bounds, you need a superstar.

as a suggestion, sweet t, you need to start diversifying away from adult. atlanta would probably be a good candidate for a disaster recovery hotsite - this is a booming business with excellent margins. one big deal and youve got an anchor tenant and laughing all the way to the bank.

LauraLee 07-21-2005 06:14 AM

all bullshit aside, the best perk would be having you as the boss.
good luck Tony!

Hey Tony,
I know a guy that is in Atlanta now, he is in management with a mainstream company, he is in charge of the technical side of a national document storage company. I know part of his job is management, part of it is sales, and part is technical. And I know he knows a little about our industry, and he's not happy with his current position. If you think it's worthwhile I can give you a call and tell you about him and set you guys up or something.
:)

Anthony 07-21-2005 07:40 AM

Goddamn.

I wish I was free Tony.

National Net, Tony Morgan... Two names in this business that elicit one word.

Professional.

Good luck old friend!

We do have quite a bit of mainstream business and are always looking for more. There's a reason that we're looking for a Director of Sales to build a "Sales team" :)
