To All the idiots who think the FTC thing is over...

If you think this wave of suits is the last of its kind...you are an idiot...
This is just the beginning....this is what they envisioned when they passed the law...

Do you actually think they do not have any ICQ logs or any other incriminating evidence?

The federal gov't only goes off when they are sure they will win....settling for the amounts stated is just the tip of the iceberg......the DOJ won't settle....this is just a springboard to get a big face to do some jail time...

They are just starting at the top and working their way down....everyone better duck and hope the shit does not splash on you....

don't think what we do in this biz constitues and sort of congrats....don't get big heads peeps...at the end of the day we are still pornographers.....

And the good old US of A does not like us 1 bit.....

Hmm I don't think I've seen anyone say that they think this is over. It's only going to get worse and any idiot knows that!

I think it's all a shake down. Our industry makes too much money and doesn't give enough to politicians. Same thing with the video game industry. Look at tobacco and alcohol, they're smart, the give tons to the powers that be, and they're left alone as much as possible. American pornographers need to start seriously lobbying, or else they're going to keep catching shit.

If people would just follow the damn rules they wouldn't have so many troubles.

The FTC charged that the companies sent sexually-explicit e-mail messages that:

* violated the Adult Labeling Rule requirements;
* violated the requirement to provide a clear and conspicuous opt-out mechanism; and
* violated the requirement to provide a postal address.

I will bet every one of these companies has a no spamming policy.....
yet somehow "affiliates" still spam away.....need to open your eyes....this is going exactly how they wanted it to go....

Regardless of the reason they passed it, they still passed it. I rarely agree with anything this joke of a government does, but bringing people to court for breaking the law doesn't seem too unreasonable.

Try to deliver an email message with 'SEXUALLY-EXPLICIT' in the subject.

pornographers + lobbying = wow

that'd be an interesting thing to see as porn is a political hot potatoe that I doubt any politican (other than the very few progressive liberals) would want to touch with a 10 foot pole
