ChefJeff 07-19-2005 02:55 PM

You are so right.
Now it's even more blurred with republicans spending like democrats.
They're coming together to give us a bipartisan ass fucking.

bringer 07-19-2005 03:04 PM

bush wants the bible to rule all
democrats want to put a tax on everything from dirt to air to pay for their social programs
fuck em all

kernelpanic 07-19-2005 03:07 PM

Those people are fucking idiots, plain and simple. Kids are not targeted by porn webmasters, since kids do not bring any business. Most kids do not have CC access, and therefore, are of no value to anyone. Those who do steal their parents credit cards usually result in chargebacks, only causing further headache. When will these liars stop putting forth the image of smut peddlers on every digital corner, just looking for children to corrupt with OH NO, PORNOGRAPHY. Heaven forbid kids see things which everybody does at some point in their lives, but remember, its ok for 8 year olds to play Grand Theft Auto, just as long as no tits are shown.

Fucking hypocrites.

Aric 07-19-2005 03:09 PM

Is there absolutely no responsibility placed on parents anymore? Now it's our job to babysit their kids surfing the 'net?

The Third Way report, which has not yet been released, argues that adult websites do not do enough to keep children away from adult content, and that many adult webmasters specifically target children in their marketing.
Yah, because children are the ones with credit cards.</sarcasm>

Scootermuze 07-19-2005 03:28 PM

Appears as though the gov't is wanting to profit a bit more from porn instead of fight it.. :)

Uncle Sam wanting a bigger piece of the porn pie...

"Smart" play for the democrats. They get to appeal to the religious fanatics, and if the republicans fight it, they get to say the republicans don't want to protect children.. If the republicans support it, they get to say that Bush supports and "profits" from porn.. Nice move... You can see the religious battle building for the next election...

punker barbie 07-19-2005 03:52 PM

Oh man i so called this one! You can see my comment on this in the August issue of AVN magazine.

Giorgio_Xo 07-19-2005 04:18 PM

I will be completely living and working offshore by 2006 so I don't care. :)

Damian_Maxcash 07-19-2005 04:23 PM

Its so stupid......

Push all the porn offshore to countries with no real regulation - that will really GUARANTEE we will all see more CP on the net. The US industry polices itself, lose that and it all falls apart.

But hey, at least the pervs in the US paying for that shit wont have to worry about thier kids.

ADL Colin 07-19-2005 04:29 PM

Haven't seen it but sounds too broad to get past the Supreme Court.

Bingo.

Arkansas is a very "democrat" state overall, but has a very large population of deeply fundamental christians, mostly evangelical baptist and a ton of baptist "splinter groups", including those that are similar to the Amish in the way they dress, socialize, and interact with the rest of the community (they drive cars and own washing machines in most cases, but the rest of thier philosophy is very similar).

Lincoln is using this to grab headlines and increase her popularity. She may be making a bid to run for President in 2008: http://www.ipetitions.com/campaigns/Lincoln2008/

http://www.lincoln2008.com/

Here's a couple published quotes from Lincoln:

"I believe that the fight against crime starts in the home. Parents must take responsibility for their children and show them love and guidance from an early age so they learn to respect the rights of others."

"It certainly makes no sense to enact more laws if we cannot, or do not, enforce the ones we have."

Here's a few of her votes:

--Voted NO on restricting violent videos to minors. (May 1999)
--Voted YES on $86.5 billion for military operations in Iraq & Afghanistan. (Oct 2003)
--Voted YES on authorizing use of military force against Iraq. (Oct 2002)
--Voted YES on allowing all necessary forces and other means in Kosovo. (May 1999)
--Voted YES on authorizing air strikes in Kosovo. (Mar 1999)

Democrats sure have changed...

Mr. Pat 07-19-2005 04:37 PM

well just another thing to fight against, is all i see....

Zester 07-20-2005 01:13 AM

oh god was is this shit?!
that's it - i'm outof the biz!!!! oh wait I forgot - I don't live in the US :action-sm

crowkid 07-28-2005 12:06 PM

This kind of throws out all those pussies on this board who whine and bitch and say the US republican government is trying to kick porn out, which nothing could be further from the truth. Nine democrats, and only democrats, introduced this bill, so what do you have to say about it now? lol, even in this thread, some idiots posted "thanks for voting for bush!", read the fucking article before you talk out of your ass.

broke 07-28-2005 12:14 PM

Christ almighty -- retards.

Sales taxes are and always have been passed on to the consumer. Put out a quality (taxed) product and nothing will change.

Thanks dems.

titmowse 07-28-2005 12:23 PM

This is the work of those old ladies at the Democratic Leadership Council.

Bitches. :disgust
