That was my first thought too.

It's so hard to tell what is government propganda and what is a legitimate story anymore.

The more you know, the more you know you don't know.

I'm a very skeptical person and even I am starting to think that 911 was total bullshit.

Good to see that some people still think for themselves.

Well if you detonate a nuke in a large city the body count will be in many thousands for the initial blast and many many more dieing from the long term effects of radiation.

Don't we all feel better they let arms disappear from under their noses in Iraq? Perhaps instead of spending all that time looking for WMD in Iraq (found none) they should be looking closer to home?

If nothing else, time has shown that the powers that be still haven't learned a thing about terrorism.

Martial Law is near...

Anyone find weird that the Mexico's border is so poorly protected? ... which btw would directly contradict Bush's resolve to fight terrorism at all cost..

I guess nothing is more important than the "Bigger picture" .. http://www.alipac.us/article539.html

I like that article.

"Community" means integrating the United States with the corruption, socialism, poverty and population of Mexico and Canada. "Common perimeter" means wide-open U.S. borders between the U.S., Mexico and Canada.

Canada is corrupt, socialist, poor, and has a large population? Could have fooled me.

i wouldn't brush this off lightly.

i am a notoious pot head who drinks every now and then. the reason i mentioned this is because i NEVER have or remember dreams.

a few years ago i had a recurring dream i was in a buliding inside a room with a few other people. there was nothing in the room but a window. we sensed the enemy (why i don't know) was coming, but when we looked out the window, we never saw anything or anybody. i had this same dream 3 different times. the SAME dream. then sept 11 happened. (no more building dreams after that)

then i had a dream that i was in a plane and 2 missles hit it. after 911 a plane went down in russian or something like that a few days later. 2 missles hit it.

then i had a dream poor people were fighting in the streets. they were fist fighting and shooting each other with guns and rifles. they were killing one another. i knew they weren't americans because of the way the buildings were shaped. then the iraq war started. no more dreams for a long time.

my most recent dream was 2 days ago sunday. it was the most disturbing dream i ever had in my life. i was so much bothered by it that i couldn't go back to sleep.

i was dreaming i was watching a muslim (in civilian clothes) stringing together what i thought were bombs in a circle. at first i thought the dream was about me. i asked myself, what did i do that was so bad that people wanted to blow me up with bombs?!? then i realized i was just observing what was going on. he set them off one at a time. the first blast was so tremendous i was blinded by the light of it. then the second blast went off. after the second blast i woke up in a cold sweat.

now i'm reading this article and it brought that dream back vividly.
some may think it's a joke. i don't!!!

by the way...i live in miami.

I would think if that was true that it would be all over the news and not on just one internet site that at the bottom of asks you to subscribe for a 10 dollar fee, i mean cnn will give you the news from your couch and not charge you 10 bucks to get the entire story. Something stinks here and it isnt the fish!

That is correct - also for those thinking that the small amount of plutonium would be detected by a satellite - get over it - you couldnt detect it with a sophisticated rad. meter from 20 feet away let alone the "supposed helicopter scans" the government tells people they are doing.
Second - in response to Keyser - you need to get your terms right - the only long term effects are a possibility of an increase in the cancer rate similar to Nagasaki - but the real killer is called contamination - not radiation - Even the news media fucks this one up so here ya go - the easiest way to explain difference is:
imagine that contamination is the shit you get on your shoe when you step in a pile of dog shit. The radiation is the smell "radiating" away from it. When a bomb goes off it has an initial burst of radiation that will "radiate" out some distance depending on the amount of plutonium - the real killer from this part is really the fireball produced and the normal "explosion" side effects. The radiation emitted will be high enough to kill a human within a few miles (again depending on the size). The contamination (the dust and dirt/debris) is the stuff that gets activated by the radiation - in the case of a bomb there isnt much - compared to something like the reactor at Chernobyl where there was huge amounts of construction material that was activated by the radiation. That debris was responsible for most of the real deaths there - consisting of material actually contacting the skin and radiating into the body (called beta radiation burns)
When you see people use the term fallout that is really the "contamination" or dust that has been activated by the radiation of the explosion - and depending on the wind and other weather conditions, could be spread out for 50 miles of so - all depends on where the wind blows it. The thing you hvae in your favor from the fallout is that it is mostly diluted in a lot of air so the effects wouldnt be all that bad compared to the explosive effects of the bomb itself.
If you really have serious questions or fears about radiation and contamination feel free to hit me up as I spent my life working in the field - and have a little knowledge on the biological effects

Do you know anything about the shockwave created by a nuclear blast? I read that people in Hiroshima and Nagasaki that weren't killed by the initial blast had their eyes knocked out of their sockets by the shockwave

I have a related domain that many folks have told me is very good and is worth decent $$$ right now...

NuclearTargets.com

Awesome occurrance rates of "nuclear targets" in Google, etc - this domain has possibilities - all offers over $500 USD considered...

Sure - some definitions first to help with the following article
A Megaton is a thousand times a kiloton
The atomic bomb dropped on Nagasaki was 20 kilotons
A typical nuclear bomb is 1 megaton (50 times that at Nagasaki)
Note the difference - atomic vs nuclear - atomic means that it uses
fission of enriched Uranium normally - which is just a chain reaction when you
have enough uranium in two places and bring them together quickly to form a critical mass which is what the bomb at Hiroshima was.
In a nuclear bomb you use plutonium instead and cause an implosion using high explosives placed around the plutonium to compress it into a critical mass which causes fusion reactions - thus causing the explosion
Note that the fission process is something that can be controlled pretty easily and is why we have always used it for boiling water to steam and driving turbines to produce electricity - at nuclear power plants - one common misconception that is generated by nuke haters and the press unfortunately is that a nuke plant could have an explosion like this - its not possible as there is not enough material next to each other to cause a critical mass at these plants - even with a catostraphic failure of everything(and I mean every component in the plant) at a plant it still couldnt cause a nuclear explosion

A quote from an article written at UCSF(Univ Calif) :

"The effects of a 1 megaton hydrogen bomb can be severe. Temperatures
at the beginning of the nuclear explosion are comparable to the interior
of the sun, about 1x10^7 degrees celsius. The surrounding air immediately
turns into a fireball which also creates a high pressure shockwave that
spreads out from the explosion. The shockwave consists of an overpressure
front that exceeds atmospheric pressure by 100 psi 0.5 miles from the
blast. An overpressure of 5 psi (which exists about 4 miles from
the blast is enough to destroy brick houses). Behind this shockwave
comes hurricane force winds. The fireball also rises up into the air
and cools off in the process creating the famous mushroom cloud. After
about a minute the cloud can be 6 miles high and still rises at 220 miles
per hour. It eventually reaches a maximum height of 12 miles"

I dont know about he eyesocket reference although I would say based on human anatomy that the first problem would be the ears, bones, joints, internal organs like the lungs etc - they would be put into a hemmoraging state which would cause death right away.
The other thing that gets taken out of context quite a bit in flics and stories about blasts is the flashblindness from looking at the blast - in reality the flashblindness normally lasts for about 45 minutes, unless as in only one case I could find in Hiroshima there was retinal burning - which would cause permanent disability.

bin Laden must be laughing his head off at the idiocy. He has suceeded well so far messing with idiots - they have spent billions in often stupid attempts to protect themselves and adding to a fucked up economy.
