I haven't been to a fair in probably 20 years. I am terrified of amusment park rides, but managed to get on the Ferris Wheel. I focused on taking pictures for the most part, keeping my mind away from "ill-fated scenarios."

The size of this fair is impressive. I blew a lot of money on the free throw game.

Yep, same camera. Although, as Gabe will tell you, I am very lucky. I was propping the zoom lens outside of the cart. It almost got ripped off by a pole (I had no idea they were that close).

Lucky for me, Gabe screamed like a scared girl.

Took it on a 5 second shutter speed. Propped it on a pole. Took about 5 shots at it, because the guy kept moving. He is still slightly blurred, so it certainly could be better.

wow. glad you got your arm still. if you took it from a stationary place, that would be extra hot. its a tad blurry bcuz you guys were in a ferris wheel bucket.

"5 shutter, 200ISO, Small aperture (wish the Canon captured that info like the Nikon)

That last photo is a great shot. I usually go to the OC fair but it's been so horribly hot here I passed. I too spend way to much on the midway games (reminds me of my old boardwalk days in Wildwood, NJ)

We have the Fl State Fair in Tampa and I go every year. it's some of the best people watching known to man lol. I never go on the rides but I love to look at the animals and all the shopping! I have yet to have ever eaten a funnel cake though. I usually have my yearly corn dog and lots of beer.

Make your own funnel cakes at home... get a boxed yellow cake, mix the batter up then instead of baking it dump it in your deep fryer
