Running SEO Sites Off Same Server (SEo Question)

Say you had 10-30 SEO sites (Anything from blogs or just simple html sites) on your server. Each domain used seperate ips and you didn't interlink them that much. They also wouldn't target the same keywords. Would there be any penalty in this? Just looking for some opinions.

How would a SE recognize they're on the same server otherwise?
EDIT: I'm assuming you mean different C-class IP's.

If that number of sites on the same ip block is too many what would be a guess at a safe number?

No they would be on the same C-class ips. I am just working on a project and need to get an idea if there would be a problem if the IPs were different but most on the same c-class.

Not much meaning maybe a couple sites linked together in a smart structure but other then that not much. The sites would be different niches and some mainstream.

On a side note will webair even give ips with different c-class for virtual accounts.

The filter only will happen if the sites are going for the same terms.

But your links between your sites will be more valuable if on seperate C's. If on the same it doesn't hurt you (unless going for the same terms). But it doesn't help you, google will see that almost as the same site, like an internal link instead of external.

Alright so if they have the same c-class ip there would be a problem. Makes sense. Thanks.

Try using subdomains - if it works for your sites. Cross-linking, even on the same IP, won't get penalized as easily as different domains - of course, down the road that may change ...

Hint: Google didn't become a registrar to sell domains. There is much more to it than "interlinking on the same IP".
