Maybe we should take every non-tech user`s computers away....
Are you aware that there are many unpatched IE holes that can compromise your computer`s security?
I find it funny that people have become used to having to spend money on anti-virus,firewalls ,etc. It`s like its normal and that this was always the way computing used to work.

A) FF has had security holes. Some haven't been found yet because hackers are for the most part aren't going to fuck with something that is well under 50% of the market. As I said and willbe proven true that if FF ever gets a sizable portion of useage hackers will find many many holes to exploit. For FF usrs to use the excuse "I'm safe because my browswer is so inconsequential even hackers won't fuck with it" is lame.
B) Say FF can get rid of 100% of spyware. Oh good make ignorant computer users even more ignorant. Being too cheap or lazy to protect yourself properly is no excuse in my book. Yeah it sucks we have to spend money on protection, but just as 50 years ago you didn't need a car alarm and you could keep your door on your house unlocked at night. Well things aint that way any more and no since trying to live as it still is.
It doesn't take a "tech" as you put it to learn computer basics. Before 2000 when I got my first computer the last computer I touched was Comadore 64 about 10 years before that. Of course computers were much different and I didn't know the difference between a HD and CPU and RAM andwhat the fuck meghurtz and shit was.
I sure as hell didn't know what an OS was WTF it puropose was. And didn't know how to do shit, but I WANTED to learn because I thought is was important too since I was investing so muchmoney into the damed thing. I taught myself and it didn't take me long to get the basics down.
I wouldn't call myself and expert but I could build a computer from scratch if I so choose and I often help fix friends computers. I get friends that tell me their computer is running slow when I check it out I find the main problem is often they have too much shit in their start-up system. And of course a simple MSCONFIG clean-up does the trick, but how many even know how to do that?
