if you want the young hip scene go with "the standard"

can't beat the standard.

lots of hot chicks there.

Definately one of these two or the Standard. All 3 are right on sunset near a ton of bars and clubs.

i would say stay at the standard, or hyatt or how ever you spell that > both located in hollywood on sunset blvd but standard in downtown is very nice like >hollywood horwitz said great partys and very nice place looks nice great crowd

I love the Argyle on Sunset. It's a classy, upscale hotel and you can get a suite for around that price. Plus, they let you get crazy and never give you any shit.

Oh...and being Hawaiin I have to recommend my favorite hotel on Oahu, which is the Halekulani. It's a bit more expensive, but well worth it.
