Tooth Expert?

So my friend is having tooth problems ... and since everyone here has an opinion, I figured someone may actually know the answer to this.

To rebuild tooth enamel, is there a change in diet or anything she can do to rebuild it?!? Anyone got anything for me?

No. There may be some sort of surgery but a change in diet is not going to produce enamel.

From a website......

In order to protect your teeth, Dr. Balshi recommends rinsing your mouth with water immediately after drinking a soft drink and brushing at least 30 to 60 minutes later. Dr. Balshi adds, "Waiting to brush allows the tooth enamel to mount its own defense against the erosion caused by acids found in soft drinks. This is typically accomplished through protective agents in the saliva that help repair and rebuild damaged tooth enamel. If you brush your teeth too soon, you will brush off the affected layers of the teeth and prevent the teeth from mounting its own defense."

Does milk prevent cavities?

Yes. Several studies suggest that milk products prevent the enamel on our teeth from breaking down and also help in rebuilding enamel. A variety of cheeses such as aged cheddar, swiss, blue, monterey jack, mozzarella, brie and edam produce little or no plaque and help prevent root cavities.
