I just picked up a new Jeep Rubicon last week and had my first off road adventure today. Saw some pretty cool shit so I thought I'd post some of the pics.

those are some really nice pics .... i was thinking of picking up a jeep just for fun .... I'm not sure I'd want to drive one every day and you can get a 2-3 year old one here pretty cheap ... but the Rubicon is really nice ...

Two totally different animals . I took the Jeep places I would have never been able to take the H2 today however I've taken the H2 places I'd never consider attempting in a Jeep.

Yeah, I'd never recommend a Jeep for everyday driving. Their fun for play but I wouldn't want to drive it as a daily use vehicle. The Jeep I just traded in for this one was 7 years old and I had only put 52,000 miles on it. Just sits in the garage patiently waiting to be let out for fun.

I could easily purchase an H2. I think they suck. My cousin (Lightspeed's Tiffany Paris) has an H2. The last time we talked about it she regretted buying it. Don't know if she feel's differently about it now or not.

Ok, so the day after you guys leave, Allie and I have the day to ourselves in YOUR JEEP and we decide to head out to the beach and shoot some content:

Well, we start down the beach and the sand seems to be getting softer and softer as we go. I had already made a mental note that the tires on the jeep were "street tires" definitely not for off road use but I figured what the fuck, the Jeeps in Sleazy's name (j/k). So, there's no room to turn around and I don't want to stop because if we lose our momentum were done for sure.

Well, the sand finally gets so soft that we completely bog down and sink the fucker to the axels. To make matters even worse we're about 10 feet from the surf and the tide is coming in. Now remember were on a totally isolated beach and there's no fucking way anyone is coming along to help us out. I'm thinking, fuck I really hope Scott got the extra insurance on the Jeep.

So we run up the beach toward the trees and start gathering every single piece of driftwood we can find and jam them under all four tires. We managed to get just enough traction to get out of there as the water line reached the Jeep. I think about another 20 minutes and someone would have been buying a Jeep,

I would choose the H2 now, over a jeep...cause I have a 6 month old boy :-)
