A big part of inspiring affiliates to promote you, is to convince them that you are in business for the long haul, and that you are serious about your business.
I know that it may seem shallow, but a lot of the factors employed to 'judge' your program are based on quick appearances. When an affiliate sees you working on a tight budget, they are justifiably nervous; since they work hard for their traffic and want to be sure of a good return.
You might consider investing in better quality equiptment, and showing potential affiliates a better product than video captures. You might also show that you are not afraid of a little bandwidth bill, by hosting those images yourself, instead of andale.
Nothing wrong with being frugal, but a different game plan is needed sometimes for appearances sake
