true, and there is ONLY one person whose moral, ethics, written and unwritten one can control - HIS OWN. Controling them are MUCH harder than going to the gutter, but...makes one feel real good seeing so many scumbags around who just can't do it.

Sony Cyber shot. I never take lots of pics, and even than comb thru them, only leaving interesting ones. Oregon Forest are my favorites....clear cuts are the monuments of human stupidity.

The clear cuts depress me. :(

When I take pics I use one of my high speed cameras such as the Nikon D1x. I take a lot of pics and then delete the bad ones. The Nikon D1x will take 3 frames per second for up to 9 pics. I like shooting and filling up 1GB CF cards. The Nikon D100 or D70 both do a great job, too and are much lower priced. Combine that with a contant stop lens and photos look amazingly crisp. For someone who travels as much as you it's a shame you're not using such a combo. I know you can pony up the money for those Mister Loaded. I also know that lots of people would like looking at more of your pics. Do you ever share photos on pbase or photo.net ?

Shooting with those cameras I mentioned in high res does use up a lot of drive space, though. But that's why God created DVD burners.

I think you underestimate your abilities.

PERFECT CAMERA OUTFIT FOR SERGE:

* Nikon D100

* Tamaron 28-105 2.8 Lens

* Nikon SB 800 Speedlight

* 1gb Lexar 80x CF Card

Adding all that up you'll be between $2k and $3k but you'll be glad you did it later.

no sale! The BEST feature my camera has, compared to those you listed is:
the SIZE of a credit card, I take it everywhere and don't even notice it. It's a sufficient camera for an amateur.

Oh, you two look darling....and happy....I'm so pleased for both of you.

When I moved to Washington from the east, Serge, I took several trips to see the magnificence that is this state and Oregon....and I remember crying when I first saw what we only heard about in Philly...the clearcutting of the trees...the balding of the mountains...very upsetting and ecologically short sighted, no matter what the tree cutting giants say....

I'm glad to see you two having so much fun. If you ever get up Seattle way, I'd love to see you.

we go to Seatle every year, I have uncle living there. We'll take you on your offer of getting together. Have you seen Crater Lake in Oregon? What a beauty!

Phoenix 07-09-2005 09:05 AM

im not sure who's ass to kiss or who to flame...although i do think taking a woman into a fight in any shape or form is a bit low.

Leave shaw cutie out of it..other then that keep on keepin on Fris...this is good entertainment

When I first moved to WA from Philly, I was in awe of the environment, the majesty of the water and mountains....not that the east coast is any less than, just different...

I drove the entire coast of Oregon, which was just breathtaking....and then I crossed into WA from the Astoria Bridge, which I thought was very cool....

That's when I got my first glimpse of the clear cutting that I'd only read about.

It made me cry. What an ecological disaster this is.

I've lived in WA for ten years now and the trees are coming down faster than a bald man loses hair. The destruction is awesome.....

You two look wonderful and happy and I would gladly put time aside for a visit...I haven't seen either one of you for a long time, especially my favourite LadyLaw.....
