We are not winning shit. We have stirred a hornets nest, and have created even more anger for generations to follow.

I agree. We are all at the losing end here. Bush has started a war which he expects to end in 2010? Damn, there will be lots of Muslim haters by then and
willing to blow up themselves. Pity how this world is starting to shape up.

Give me a break, a terrorist group like al queda can do 20 attacks on the same time,on different places fairly easy. Have a look at your country's map and then tell me how you can protect any public building, school, metro from a van that will park next to it and explode killing unsuspicious citizens. It didn't happen because they didnt want to happen. I would wonder more on why not at this point rather thinking beyond human limits security success.

If there was indeed any proof that he was hiding WMD, then how come the UN

Shh.... people are supposed to forget about the folders full of evidence about exact locations that Iraq is hiding WMD's.

Bush has wasted billions of tax dollars, and even worse, 1000's of U.S. lives fighting this war on terror. To think if Bush had not been president, all those American soldiers who died in Iraq, would still be alive.

uh I think you need to read my post or run it through the translator again...LOL because I'm seriously doubting we're disagreeing here.

What I was saying is that people can't use the whole "we haven't had an attack since 9/11" as saying we are winning.

Because in the past it was years between attacks and it may be years again...they are here in the states, I guarantee it and just waiting, it will happen again and this war has not made us any more secure.

Theo 07-07-2005 12:11 PM

ah sorry man, i missed last phrase.

I don't find it funny, or cool. Never did.

You've become a legend in your own mind much like a few other posters around here who provide nothing of substance.

That about sums it up.

If by "Winning the war" he is winning the war on terror like the war on drugs, or past U.S. conflicts.. Vietnam, Somolia, and so on, they must be they are winning he battles, and losing the war. :Oh crap

About the only thing he's managed to do is take the conflict to them, keeping it off U.S. shores. :disgust

There was a multitude of reasons we went to war with Iraq, to say this is about oil is fucking moronic because war threatens oil supplies not helps it. You are so fucking stupid how do you even do business? :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

Al Qaeda is amazing. After several days of Bush on the stomp to promote a vision of "success" in Iraq (let us not forget Cheney's "Last Throes" comment and the national TV address last week), Al Qaeda times the execution of the Egyptian ambassador in Iraq with 4 large attacks in London to embarrass Blair in Scotland during one of the most talkedabout G8 meetings in a decade.

Talk about a classic world class Fuck You. Bush is so outclassed.

embarassed? outclassed? I would be embarassed if I had to stoop to killing innocent people on a subway to try and make a point. What a bunch of cowards.

You are adding values which don't apply. We are talking about the political impact the attacks made. Al Qaeda accomplished exactly what they set out to do. I am not making a moral value judgment on the atrocity of the attack.

But yet somehow ordering the dropping of bombs on houses full of children makes you a hero.

theking 07-07-2005 01:14 PM

President Bush did not create "terrorists" and he will not be alive to see the end of "terrorism".

The global war on "terror" will still be ongoing when myself and every other person...of the several billion currently occupying this planet...will no longer exist. "Terrorists" have been with human kind thoughout known history and "terrorists" will be wih human kind for any forseeable future.

But, how do you defeat an enemy willing to kill itself on a wholesale level?

DaddyHalbucks 07-07-2005 01:58 PM

WWII ended in 1945; post war communism gripped Eastern Europe shortly thereafter, and it took approximately 50 years for Eastern Europe to be rid of communism.

9/11 happened in 2001. Today it is 2005. That's ONLY 4 years.

Do you think it is realistic that the defeat of communism took 50 years --but terrorism would only take 4 years?

Be serious!

GWB is doing an admirable job fighting terrorism!!

Mighty Chin 07-07-2005 02:00 PM

I had no idea Bush was fighting a war on terrorism all by himself. The free nations of the world are fight this war in some form.

Bush is trying hard to get past the first page of 101 Terrorism, but he has learned a bit on how to use this to unite people and stay in power - tho that's probably Rove's idea.

Other countries have been doing this for decades, but don't need all the "support" to do it or walk into the lions mouth each time - it's more effective that way. Clue? :-)

BTW.. It's a "war" that will not be won anyway, - irrespective of perceived power and arms.
