Hehe ;)

Great flick - be sure and watch the extra on the DVD that shows the real life people involved.

I have Carandiru on my Netflix list - anyone seen it?

Awesome movie, A Brazilian Goodfellas but with MORE guns and crime.
A real eye opener and more poignant cos it's a real live problem going on right now.....

There's a follow-up mini series to the film called City of Men that's in I believe the 3rd season now. The show continues following a couple of the kids as they get older and dealing with living in the favelas. Really fucking good.
I'm going to Rio in a couple of weeks, can't wait.

Thats the one about the kid that wants to become a photographer and there are the 2 gangs?
If its that one Im thinking about, I turned it on cuz there wasnt anything else on & what a great movie!!! Ended up watching it again later that night.
The one they showed on TMN only had pictures of the realy kid. It would have been cool to hear what happened after etc...

The film was set in São Paulo I belive
Personally I prefer the carribean, but Brazil is very nice and you can find some amazing spots there out of the cities
