Decent content.
A site that rebills.
No money spent on gimmicks or promotions, put that money back into the site to make the affiliates that are pushing it earn even more.

ACCURACY - This is the biggest one. I want to know my clicks and signups are counting.

Conversion - No one likes to waste money sending traffic to sites that don't convert.

Money - I don't care for promotions and all the hoopla. I just want a fair payout and ontime payouts.

I'm pleasantly surprised to hear it said (multiple times, indeed!) that the promotional stuff isn't very important to you.

I do have my reasons for asking...and I want to be sure that the input I give is spot on with what you are really looking for, so I appreciate the input.

Don't know if this counts for other people, but I think if you have to overly promote something, it usually sucks. I know promotion in one way or another is needed to get a program out to the world of webmasters, but there's also a lot of totally un-needed promotion that often seems to land programs in more of a bad light than good; many threads on this board have shown that.

If you have a solid product it will get spread by word of mouth, which is worth platinum compared to the copper you get back from constant, worthless promotion and spamming.

Again, this is just my .

To further on this statement, it seems the programs willing to establish themselves and not worry about the quick buck; rather start digging trenches and making a solid name for themselves over a period of time, are the ones I'll trust more than a fly-by-night operation trying to spam worthless programs.

However, there's many of those "quick buck" programs and many more webmasters who want that, so I guess it eventually depends on what type of company you start, run and how long it should last.

Medical insurance if you make over X amount of money.
Bonuses $, again for making over X amount of money X times infinite.
That's all really and just a thank you and always be nice to me. Buy me a drink at a convention then I'll buy you a drink. Professionalism.

I would personally tend to agree...it's just that I see the excitement promotional gimmicks receive...but upon pondering that a bit, excitement over a promotion does not equate sending traffic, lol.

I wish that were true, the affiliate game is a tough market. If your not holding hands and screaming your the best, you have a tougher time drawing attention to your program.

People who come here to brag about there conversions are rarely accurate with the numbers they present, and the People who aare truly doing well, keep it to themselves because they like a lack on competition.

I don't agree with all his lawsuits, but this one has a little merit and is one that will be in the courts with other companies as well.

Google caches your page. Meaning Google is storing a copy of your webpage and images on their servers. Not sure what your definition of infringement is.

They are also just taking images and storing thumbnails on their server. I know it might not be much, but over time, how many people will just run image searches and forget about the paysites.

Maybe it's a fine line, then, between the worth of sites the programs have compared to the promotion? We all know there's some really shit websites out there by major companies who throw down promotions all the time. Compare this to some companies with stellar sites that rarely throw promotions - you know, the more I think about it, the more I think that the companies with the shit sites do more promotions; huge payouts for a limited time, etc. Again, this is just opinion and personal observation.

However, in regard to the betterment of our adult business - in the long run, it's not a good practice for tons of affiliates to push a shitty sponsor site because they're running a promotion. It ruins the surfer's perspective / trust, which is one of the hardest things to get back.

Unless google has a master key to all websites, how can they get membership site content?

Maybe it wouldn't be shared on the board, but among friends in the biz, it would be...even just the lack of shit talking about a sponsor is noticed, I think.

You're absolutely correct, and I do think a lot of WM's consider that, and that's why they get pissed at sponsors that jerk their traffic around or pop them to death.
