For everyone... always double check everything and contact the program before making threads like this.

Next time you decide to post some stupid shit like this just think about it for a second and think about who we might be doing business with or have done business with in the past and who I am friends with at the company that you are trying to pimp out in a thread that should have never been started in the first place.. I went through the full process, and no revenue was credited to my account (it's been over a week at this point).

I've heard humors of certain companies skimming sales. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this seems like that's exactly the case here. I'm usually not one to bitch & complain, but that seems a bit assinine...and obvious.

Anybody have any input on this situation?

I think what you did is reasonable.
I like to only promote sites that I would join myself. That's the best way to know if it converts..."did it convert me?"

I can't count the number of times I saw a new paysite and then quickly joined as an affiliate then signed up on my link. My sign ups were counted every time!! And those are the sites I made the most money with.

It's not fraud if you remain a member and if you don't want to remain a member then guess how good the site is. Not too good so why promote it and you didn't meet the minimum payout anyway so the sponsor made money from you for trying out the site.

This shit about fraud is bullshit.

Theo 07-01-2005 05:11 PM

I just want to let you all know that this would never happen at DieselAction who are in my sig. Why? Because we payout weekly! If you don't get a check in the mail or a wire within few days, you'd know... But it will always be there because we don't fuck around.

He didn't accuse anyone of doing anything. He just said the issue would not occur with his sponsor since the money is always there.
You seem way too defensive about this which makes me think something may actually be wrong.

Truth is I've sent a lot of traffic to epiccash and I never thought you were cheating. I just thought that your fucking sites must absolutley suck since I never made any sells. Ok, I made like two sales but WTF?

Please contact me, I would love to see your stats with us.

I have to say that Trey is an asshole ... but his program is top of the line ... i like all the guys over there and I've always heard good things about them. Trey and i once had some words and he posted that we shave and don't pay out for no reason with no proof. so i do find it a bit funny that everyone there gets so upset when it's done to them with a legit concern involved. i do think you should have gone to them first. there are many reasons this can happen and posting shit like that to the boards should be a last resort.

I have to say that after he did that i pulled 41 links from a tgp network i just built and was about to launch and send about 500k of our feeder traffic a day to. Maybe some day I'll reconsider and give them a try ... :2 cents:

I know what you are saying. Its just that Trey can be rough at times as well representing you guys. :)

Your response was kind of like pot meet kettle because of that.

I have no problems with anyone just having a little fun after reading the thread. Im glad you guys all worked it out.

Bullshit? Really? They join a program to 'test' it. If they don't get caught, they get paid on their own signup and your telling me that isn't fraud? If they signed up for their own pleasure, they wouldn't be here complaining about the sale not showing up :error

Ok, well lets see.

Worst case scenario: Webmaster joins on a 3.95 trail and cancels. He is credited $40. He thinks the site sucks and doesn't promote it therefore he never reaches the minimum payout of $50. So where the fuck did he get paid?????????

Next scene: He signs up and cancels and gets credited $40. He thinks the site is worth promoting and sends a lousy assed one(count 'em 1) signup and gets paid $80 dollars. But he sent 2000 fucking hits to get the one sign up. So the sponsor has 20(10%) bookmarkers and 5 of them will type in the domain and sign up later and not cancel. So where is the loss to the sponsor? Plus the sponsor now has the email of bonofide porn buyers with a valid credit card. "Pay per email" does it ring a bell?

Why do you think sponsors are paying up to $200 per webmaster referral?

Try this thinking: SEO; more sites pointing to you even if they don't make a sell.

I own interracialtoons.com please go sign up and test it. I don't give a shit. In fact I hope you do signup.

I often wish I could determine which webmaster sent the bookmarker that signed up so that I could pay them for the work they really did. I bet that would make them keep their links to me up instead of them quitting with 3 sign ups when actually they are responsible for 10!!!

The problem with many sponsors is that they are fucking SPOILED!!!!!!!!!

Bitching about a webmaster who signs up to check out the members areas when the webmaster is spending 100's of dollars in bandwidth posting galleries to their shit with only a chance of a sell.

Any sponsor who doesn't want me to sign up and see their members area please, oh please please please post your paysite program in a response to this post so I can dump your shit if I have it or put it on a black list

Side note: Using CCBILL increases the money paid to webmasters who create bookmarkers since they use a cookie. I don't know the current duration of the ccbill cookie but I think at one time it was 90 days.

Too bad your programmer doesn't know what a fucking "select time frame" box is.

Dude, I never said you cheat. I said you didn't convert for me; which can happen to anybody. But I do think you're sling way too much shit at a webmaster who did test your system.

Don't expect new webmasters to just trust you. Shittt!! You might be telling us to look for weapons of mass destruction before we can get a sign up. :1orglaugh

No one was bitching about a webmaster signing up. Sponsors I promote have given me a look at the members area just for asking, so that I can see if I think it will convert my traffic. I don't have to do anything sneaky at all. Also, if someone is wondering about a particular program, all they have to do is ask on GFY. You don't complain about fraud if you are commiting it also...you know the saying...the pot calling the kettle? You can argue about it all day long, but I would never do what Ace-Ace did to test the sposor. I would have asked on here, and if enough good feedback, I would have talked to a program owner or rep and asked them about retention and their members area. No need to commit fraud and then tell everyone you did....

Just let me know what your id is and I will spend the time looking thru your stats history. I know you didnt say we cheat, I just like to know how come we didnt convert for you... Too many ppl jump in and complain about their stats yet no one lets me check it or if they finally do it turns out they sent a couple hundred hits and didnt get a sale. Anyways if you want contact info in sig, just let me know what your id with us is.

And I didnt sling any shit about him doing a test signup... I do think it was wrong coming and posting here without contacting us first though. Anyways it was his mistake and everything is fine... He is now promoting us.

Dalai lama 07-01-2005 07:25 PM

Dont signup yourself. They can block your own IP because of fraude.

It's not really worth lookin at my stats because I know why I didn't convert.
My traffic was WAAAYYY "off target" for your sites at the time. I just tried it anyway because sometimes "off target" converts well. But I also see you have some new sites that are on target and I should probably give those a try.

The only reason I jumped in about this subject is that webmasters(affiliates) always talk shit and complain on the board. So it's not really something for sponsors to get upset about. If I had a dollar for everytime I said "Top Bucks Sucks" and then put their links back up within 24 hrs then I would never need a sign up. :1orglaugh

I get the email....my thought patterns:

My husband and I have been in this business since 1998...we do talk to sponsors and sometimes get to see the members area. If you don't, too bad for you. If you have people you trust and want them to promote your sites and in return get a kick ass affiliate, you do what you gotta do.

I don't need a pass to a site to surf porn, I own and operate my own sites, I have more porn than alot of sites have. And I certainly don't need to buy a membership to sites I promote and get paid the $$ from my own sale....and then complain about the site on GFY :disgust

I've always recieved my checks from Epic on time. They have always seemed great to me. No complaints.

I've never had an issue with epiccash they are a great crew over there and always on top of issues like this as they care about thier webmasters.
