Not sure about your definition of 'friend', but I do not consider most of the peeps here friends, rather they are acquaintances, at best.
I know what my friends look like.
Golden rule: never work for or with friends, and never start a business with one ... it's the best way to ruin a good friendship (and they are harder to come by than any amount of money or girls), but they sure seem cherry at the beginning.
Not saying all work relationships end in failure ... just 99% of em.
