The Final Word on taibo (hopefully)

Hi all,

This message is in response to the many threads created recently accusing "taibo" of postwhoring for the WebcamCash contest.

As many of you have pointed out, irrelevant and off-topic posts are against the rules of the contest. To remain unbiased, I will let the moderators of GFY decide if taibo violated board rules. Their decision will be final.

On the bright side, his posts have raised over $300 out of the $1,500 raised for the Hospital for Sick Children. His posts will count toward the charity even if he is disqualified from the contest.

Black Dog that's pretty unfair for me. The only ones that has been bitching are the people actually in the contest which I see is for obvious reasons.

Also doing this when it's about 1 day left on the contest is pretty shady.

The only reason this is happening at the last minute is because the complaints have gotten bad only recently.

Personally, I DON'T want to disqualify you. However we cannot hold contests like these if people abuse the rules. I'm not accusing you of abuse, but others are. That's why I am letting the GFY moderators decide. I trust them to be unbiased in their decision.

Basic Rules of GFY

1. No spamming other boards! We don't spam other boards about GFY. We need the same courtesy!

2. Signature rules. Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of default size and color. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60. Yes there is a reason this is so big. Also putting your text in a cell and making it look like a button is against the rules. Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more that 3 lines of DEFAULT SIZE AND COLOR text.

3. Anything goes, except do not post people's personal information, or attack people personally, stick to the issues. Also don't post links to illegal sites. And WHOIS information is public info, it is not considered personal information. So don't bitch at us if you put your home address as your personal info on WHOIS. Calling someone a Pedo, Refferring to them as a Pedo, post Pedo links, and Death Threats are now grounds for immediate banning.

4. GFY Haters... If you are a GFY Hater, don't go away mad, just go away. You want to hate on GFY, go do it somewhere else. Plain and simple

5. Multiple personalities are not allowed. If you have multiple personalities we will find out about you and we will shut down all your accounts. Also if you post under someone else's account and do it to break the rules, or they break the rules and we tie you to them. We will ban you and them. This is just like carrying someone else's bags at the airport. Don't do it.

if i have abused/broken any of the top then fair enough. but i don't think i have.

First up, I dont know shit about the contest, I dont know Taibo or the people moaning about him, however if you hold these contests then this will happen. In reality you invite this sort of thing.

Personally, I think that if you booted Taibo that would suck big time.

It's my contest but it's Lensman's board. I am just trying to protect the contest so we can do it again. As far as I'm concerned he has NOT violated the rules.

I just got off ICQ with Eric a.k.a. Red Eyes. As far as he is concerned taibo has NOT violated board rules. Therefore he is not disqualified from the contest. This decision is final.

Be better if he posted so much to help a charity besides his own.

Seriously, as I pointed out in one of these bashing threads - what he has been doing is not much different than what many others do on the board on a daily basis, just not to win a contest.

My .02 is he should not be banned, especially so late into the contest, and it's good that GFY sees it the same way. You can't have one rule for people post whoring a contest vs. post whoring as a daily routine.

Sponsors: Find another way to promote. There are plenty of alternatives.

As a Webcam Cash affilliate for over a year now, Taibo basher and contestant I would hope that he doesn't get disqualified. His post may have been 90% useless. However he has contibuted to a great cause. Also I see lots of post just as useless from many others who are not in the contest.

New contest rules effective May1

1. No 'most posts in a thread contests'. Max 100 posts in a thread by one person.

2. No one registered in less than 60 days before can post in a contest thread.

3. Contests can't run more than 10 daze. And no more than 3 contests at a time. And since only top advertisers can run contests, you need to coordinate with Eric BEFORE starting a contest.
