You are even more loopy than I thought if you think the structure of board and associated enterprise is going to stop shady practices. If .xxx brands itself as "safe for the credit card" it will attract even more shady guys to take advantage of it in short bursts. No amount of positive marketing is going to undo 8+ years of web experience with porn especially when they can't stop fraudulent practices on .xxx the same way geocitites can't stop people uploading cp and rape.

Its not been attempted before.
You can sit as program owner and contend with those that damage this industry or go for a level playing field.

Self Regulation has a chance at working.
Even if it does not work at least some people tried. As it stands right now though Adult Internet is very awry in my opinion. I will always be able to deal with .xxx or not.

However it is a change that I think can make a difference in combating rogues that hurt the legitamacy of this industry.
